I recently read a review that said the Chocolate was subpar because previous phones have easier access to the video/flix option. "All you had to do was push one button, now I have to go through all these menus." Guess what? Read the directions! Your one-button fetish is solved by keeping in the music button that directs you to the video camera!!
So maybe there's some directions I should be reading, but recently I was pushed into a swimming pool and my Chocolate (no insurance) is ruined. I've got a 1 year contract, so will this friend of mine be paying $199 or some obscure $500 price?

Just got done reading your post on the Verizon forum! Anyway, the retail price is $359.99, and that is what you will pay when your not eligible for an upgrade and you don't have insurance. You can only get the discounted price when you first sign up or when you renew your contract, which I think you said on the other forum that you just did, which means only way is to pay full-retail.

Thanks for the replies, Mary! If you've read in the Verizon forum, my battery might have just shorted out and hopefully my friend will only need to buy a new battery, not a new Chocolate 🙂
