Using Web by connecting Chocolate to Laptop

Hi,

I am considering buying a LG VX8500 (Chocolate) and I have a couple of questions.

1. I want to connect it to my laptop to get on the internet. I don't want the broadband service because I only connect once or twice a week to check e-mail when I am away. My e-mail usually has spreadsheets as attachments which is why I need it to come through my computer. On my old phone, I could connect to Quick2Net and it just went against my minutes. I realize this is a bit slower, but I want to do the same thing (if possible). I don't want to violate any policies. Is this possible? How to...?

2. I am going to need a cable. Should I purchase the Mobile Office Kit or the Music Essentials Kit? I was told that the MEK is a better cable and w...

you have to get a non evdo phone for that, best one out right now would be the motorola 325 or lg 5300. all the evdo phones (8100-830-razr-chocolate-son and so on) require broadband access plan(59.99) so if that is a major concern you might want to skip by the choco
