Latest News:

Verizon will offer an update to enable speakerphone on the Chocolate. The upgrade will be part of a free software update that owners will be able to get by going into any Verizon store starting next week. Even though the Chocolate offers a number of advanced features, it did not launch with speakerphone capabilities, despite the fact that it is common on even the most basic handsets lately. Verizon does not yet offer over the air (OTA) updates, which allows users to patch oversights and bugs by downloading new software to the phone directly from the network. Sprint offers this capability on most their newer phones. 🤣

I heard the same thing, and the first VW rep online had no idea, but when I asked someone else online the knew about it!

ALso, I spoke to an LG rep who confirmed there was no speakerphone OR software upgrade! Why is this such a secret little issue????????? It's stupid to have agents be so ignorant, especially the actual manufacturer rep of the phone!

First of all I will defend any agent. Veizon doesnt let their agents know anything and agent arent even aloud to do that! They treat their agent like scam artists so until you live it...DONT knock an agent!

Agents aren't "allowed" to do what?? I don't think anybody here is "knocking an agent" as you say. I think were all fed up with industry giants like Verizon, that tweak perfectly great phones and play dumb like they don't know what they're doing to meet their own money grubbing needs at the expense of the customer.

I'm sure they either 1) Keep agents in the dark about products/updates OR 2) Don't allow agents to speak of the updates/product innovations they know about.

They all do that, though some carriers aren't as stingy as Verizon. Don't get me wrong, I like Verizon, I'm one of their customers. I think their quality compared to others I've used is great. But they offer the least amount of choices when it comes to a phones fe...

I feel the same way about Verizon. I was saying an agent would not likely know about flashing because only coperate stores can do that. I didnt mean to get so defensive I just cant stand when people think we are Verizon and we make the rules/come up with the rules! All an agent does is sell there product and follow their rules.
