NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SPKRPH UPGRADE AT VERIZON.

I just spoke with a Verizon wireless store and they told me that there is a chance that my pix, flix, and ringtones (which were made by myself) may be erased during upgrade. What are the chances? I don't have a mem card, is there a better way to save content without uploading each one individually? What is everyone's experiance with the upgrade? Any other benefits besides spkrphone?
-Thanks! 🤨

The only other upgrade feature from flashing is the option to unlock the phone with one button press (as opposed to the two button press). Some say they get better menu speed or reduced camera latency. I can't say because I flashed mine almost immediately.

If you have a data cable you can download BitPim and transfer your pix to the PC. I think losing your pix/flix is an outside chance, but why take the risk? Best to be safe.

I did the upgrade myself from the instructions online and had no issues.

I had mine flashed at Verizon. It went seamlessly.

Did not loss any saved pixs or ringtones.

Having a data cable, flashcard and downloading Bitpim is the way to go.

Go for it. Enjoy all the features, it’s a great little phone.

no problem with the upgrade. all of my ringtones, pics and vids are intact. there's always a chance that your stuff will get wiped out whether verizon does it or you do it. i let verizon do it to save me the time and hassle.

I worked for Verizon for 2 years and never saw a phone freeze up. They have to tell you that in case it does, but chances are very slim to none.
