I tried Soundforge and I was only allowed to send one ringtone then Verizon blocked me from ever sending that kind of files to myself. When I called they said they had the right to cancel that service. Has that happen to any of you yet? I also have tried BITPIM setting it both manually and automaticlly but no luck. BITPIM gives me a message that says: "We've found an unexpected error" and it just asks me to close it. Does any one know what else to do? Please help. I have the second generation chocolate the one that already comes with the speakerphone. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I am confused, verizon blocked your mms service for sending a ringtone through it? If so that is beyond lame

Yes, Verizon has blocked my phone from recieveing any messages that may imply any sound, or video that comes from any email adresses or any other phones. They claim that we violate their rules when we send things like that to our phone because the phone might get a virus or so on. They are just lame. They are just trying to take away as much money as they can from us. I was quiet mad when they said that to me. So now all I can recieve are TXT messages and pictures. All I was able to send was one ring tone and that was it. Eveytime I try to send another under whichever email adress I get it back from mailer-daemon saying teh service is unavailable. Have they not block yours or anyone elses yet?

try sending one through funformobile.com, go to the left side and select upload ringer. I have sent a hundred different ringtones to different phones and never have been blocked, you got screwed!

Thanks for the tip man but I've already tried that before and it gives me an upload error asking me to make sure the ringtone is less than 3 mb but the ones I have are 2.50mb and still they don't upload. It's a mere conspiracy from Verizon dude. I'm starting to hate them now. And BITPIM gives me an internal error everytime I hook ip to my phone and it shuts down by itself. I've deleted the program and reinstalled it 3 times but somehow it keeps all the information I had when I first got the program, despite it's deletion. Is that normal? I've also tried changing the detection of my phone to manual to the LGVx8000 and still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks for your replies dude. 🙂

Call Verizon and tell them your pix messages will not come through, I have never heard anyone having a block put on like you so I would guess most csr's wouldn't have either, but anyway they may try to remove the feature and put it back on to fix the issue, that might reset it so you can send them. I have one other crazy idea that might work, put a song clip on your memory card and send it as a message to yourself. See If that will work. I put a few on my phone by slapping them on my card and messaging them to myself. Might be worth a try if you have some time to kill. Just put them in your my sounds folder, then go in and send as message

Dude, you are awesome! But, It says that my 2.50 mb MP3s are too large and there of impossible to even try to send them. So I need to reduce the size of them. How do I do that? Any programs for that or anything? Thanks again and again dude.

you need 350kb or less. Go to cnet and get a cutter, i use "mp3 cutter", came with free trial that allows 30sec cuts that work out pretty well.

yeahright, My boundless gratitude for ALL your replies and the tips you've given me. You were my hero man. Thanks!! 🙂 I hope others with the same problem as I had can benefit from this. Hopefully Verizon won't screw this also.
