How do you turn ON the speakerphone?

I feel pretty dumb for asking this question, but I just got my new 8600 and cannot figure out how to turn it on. There seems to be zero documentation in the Verizon handbook on how to do this. Thanks!

When in a call, press the UP button on the right side of the phone.
