Which phone has better reception? Better sound quality. I have the AX8600 and have been told by several people that the Motorola should have better reception where I am located...

Thanks.

I would call Alltel (don't go to the store, call the 800 # and get an operator) and tell them how you're roaming at home and you would like them to tell you how to fix it.

My first digital cell phone did that, and I was sick about it. My analog didn't do that. Called Alltel and after going back and forth with the girl, she told me some numbers to punch in, and it stopped roaming in my local area. By "back and forth" I mean the girl tried to tell me the digital phones had more capabilities. I said "yes, it has more capabilities to charge me."

She finally told me how to stop the roaming at home after she saw I was not going to be snowed about "more capabilities."

A digital signal is typically connected to multiple towers at a time and allows fo...

Suddenly I had all this crazy stuff on my bill - roaming charges for Dallas, it was always Dallas, and I was no where near Dallas. I was 80 miles east of Dallas at all times. Suddenly my bill was a long list of calls, many more calls than I was actually making. (And no, no one else was using my phone) After two bills of this mess I called Alltel. The Alltel operator finally told me to punch in some numbers. She said that would fix it. And it did.

My bill went back to looking like my normal cell phone bill. Just the calls I had actually made. And no roaming charges whatsoever.

I've changed phones since then, but I bought it ...
