LG VX-8600 / AX-8600

I got my phone just a few days ago and I'm having trouble with charging. First of all, when I plug in the adapter into the wall outlet, I hear this extremely annoying high-pitch noise. Not only that, but I can't get my phone to charge (on or off). Does anyone have any ideas?

My 3 button on the phone feels loose like it is missing soemthing behind. Just wondering if anybody else has that problem?

I've had my 8600 for a little over a day when I noticed the Hinge Creaking when opening the phone.

Does anyone else have this issue?

How does it usually take to charge the phone fully? Mine seems to not want to charge to a full battery. Do i need a new battery??

I have two numbers that I use but only want to carry 1 phone. Verizon/LG has dissabled the Dual NAM on this phone. I was able to enable it but had so much trouble getting VZW to put the MEID on my second line. Why would they disable this feature I know alot of people that use this, it can't possible affect VZW at all?

I don't think its coming to america but this one has a 2.0 mp camera and a flash!

I've been trying to do my research, but there are too many contractions. I currently have an LG VX6000 and I love how I can create my own (free) ringtones using a data cable and BitPim. Can I do the same with the 8600? I have heard that Verizon has disabled this ability, but I have also heard that it does work (as long as BitPim is set to the 8500). Thanks in advance...

When attempting to send files to my 8600 from my laptop I receive an error message stating, "There is no space available on the device or computer you are transferring to. Free some space on the device or computer, and then try again." I verified that I have 10.6MB available space on my phone. What's the deal? I didn't think it was necessary to buy an SD card since the phone can hold a few songs itself. I tried sending both an Mp3 (3.5MB) and a 15k picture (just to make sure it wasn't the size of the song throwing the error message).

Thoughts?

Love this phone except the camera absolutely sucks. Every picture I take is pixeled. Rounded edges are squared off. Is there anything I can do to improve this?? Or am I stuck with a really really bad camera??

It has been posted on this board that Bluetooth file transfer is allowed on the VX8600, however when I sync the phone and my Mac, file transfer is not an option. I can only send v-cards. I tried to use my file transfer application on my Mac and i get a message that says the device can't accept files of that type with an option to continue anyway. Upon selecting that option the phone appears to be accepting the file but then cancels. Can anyone help?

Next in line of the 'chocolate phones'. Stainless steel. Sure hope it's headed for VZW.

I got to mess with a dummy phone - it just came in. I have to say I am unimpressed. The keypad annoys me because you can't "feel" where the buttons are, and no, it isn't thick on the bottom. I think this will be a difficult to use phone.

Does any body know if it is possible to store pics from a digital camera on the memory card. I copied some to my card and they don't show up when i go to my pictures on the phone?? Any info would be apprecitated

when i am recording and using the zoom feature there is a loud clicking noise that gets recorded on the phone Has this hsppened to anyone else? thanks

Hello.. Ok I have the 8600 and today bought a 512MB sd card and a bluetooth adapter for my computer. I can easily transfer mp3's to my sdsounds and mysounds folders via bluetooth. However, I have NO My Music folder! I have mypictures, myvideos, sdsounds, sdpictures etc but I have no my music folder at all. I purchased a song through VCast the other day and transferred that from the phone to the sd card with no problem. I can play it and everything. So there is nothing wrong with the sd card. Any help MOST appreciated.

Sorry if any of this has been asked before. I just heard of the VX 8600...

- I heard of some problems with the speakerphone. Is the volume the only problem?

- I read somewhere that the phone can't charge while it's on. Is this true?

- The info page says bluetooth OBEX is enabled. Can music be transfered over bluetooth? Can this music be used as ringtones?

I'm kind of new to this. If i put songs onto a microsd card and put it into my phone:

1. can I play these songs?
2. can I create ringtones or use the songs as ringtones from the card?

I got my VX8600 last week. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with it. (BitPim makes life much better with this phone -- just manually set for vx8500 for now.) My question: Is there supposed to be a zoom feature on the camera at high resolution (1280 x 960)? I have access to this feature at all other resolutions, but not at 1280 x 9600. Did I get a defecto, or is it designed this way?

I was wondering if this phone will be coming to any other carriers, because I heard that this phone was not a Verizon exclusive, and it doesn't have the Verizon branding on it like the VX8500 on the LG website?
