LOVE THIS PHONE
I have had this phone for 2 years!!! I love it. I have only one complaint about it, the camera sucks! I didn't buy it for the camera though, so no sweat.
I am really hard on my phones.
I have dropped this thing dozens of times. I only have a tiny crack in the front LCD screen.
I have never dropped a single call.
The Main display screen has good quality. The volume is pretty good.
I cant compliment this phone enough.
If you want a good phone to make PHONE CALLS/TEXT messaging with, this is a great pick. LOVE IT.
this phone
pros: it is very easy to use and very simply in its layout an idiot can figure this phone out it light and i like the front display its very bright. the ringtone are very loud and the manner mode is awesome. for you txters the t9 predictive text is one of the easiest of all the phones ive ever used
cons: ive had this phone for a little less than a year and now my battery doesn't even last a whole day it usually dies by midnight. and not only that but it drops every other call. and maybe five times a day it will just power down without any warning. in the first month the front dis ply cracked. the camera just plain out sucks. the fun frames are cool but thats about it for the camera. my #5 softkey just stopped working one day then just started working the week after that. very strange. sometimes when you flip the screen open the display just wont turn on.
so if your a high volume user i don't suggest this phone. right now I'm only a year in to my verizon contract so if i want a new phone i gotta pay an ungodly ammount for new one or have to go on ebay and hunt for something else. i personally would never buy or get this phone again or even touch it with a ten foot pole
Don't even bother
Terrible, terrible phone. This is the first time I've ever bothered to write a review about any product that I've owned, but the VX-6000 certainly warrants it.
I've had the phone for about eight to nine months. Initially, the problem was that the reception was awful. I lived in the Dallas metro area and there were numerous times when I would only have one or two 'bars' of service while someone who I was with had full service (on the same carrier).
I use the phone a moderate amount, up to 10 calls a day. A month ago, my ringer stopped working completely. Alright, fine, no big deal since it's in my pocket most of the time I can leave it on viberate. Just last night, the screen went completely white. That's right, completely white to where I can't see anything. Now, I have to buy a new phone.
Here's my advice to people, and I've used pretty much every brand of Verizon cell phone offered (Kyocera, Motorola, LG, Nokia). If you want a phone that is reliable, go with Nokia. They might not have the best looking phones for Verizon, but they're simply outstanding when it comes to reliability, durability, and strength.
I'm heading back to the Nokia 6015i.
Its ok
I had my LG 6000 for a year and 1/2 and I loved it most of time. The camera wasnt that great but better then nothing. Um the BIGGEST PROBLEM was the battery life and durability. It was horribel. I replaced it one time due to the battery getting a LITTLE water on it and it ruined the entire phone. But its an OK phone. It does feel in hand like its mad a little cheap. but it is pretty with its colors and all that. The text mess was easy and a lot of fun on this phone. IT SUCKS that it doesnt have speaker phone though.
Good features, not reliable
Pros: This phone has all the features except speakerphone which would be helpful at times since this phone is very small,..I can take pictures and send emails to people and my computer and bought the cable so I can upload my own ringtones,..Pictures are ok but not as good as the newer phones today. I just got my mom the Audiovox 9900 and its big but way better.
Cons: Dropped calls and reliability. My receptions seemed good in the beginning, but now being a year old, I get dropped calls,...Reliability sucks too, my phone got wet on the bottom end where you plug in your cable from some water condensating from a glass or water overnight on my table,..Everything now works except people cant hear me talking unless I use the earbud,..Phone was good new, just over the year it got worse and worse...Im getting insurance on "EVERY" Verizon phone from now on,...
All in all, I hope the new line of phones coming out soon will be better made, Verizon makes better contracts with phone makers, and now I gotta go EBAY to look for a used phone until I can renew in Oct 05'.
Great Phone
This is a solid all around phone. It's not fancy but it gets the job done and is durable (just dont get it wet).
Battery life is great and so is the sound and reception. I just went from this phone to a Motorola v710 with all the bells and whissles. I wish I had my LG back.
there is better
Pros
excellent 256k color screen most phones have 64k. dont be fooled when they say excellent 64k color screen. its not that excellent.
easy navigation
good features
cons
only holds 20 PICTURES. i think thats rediculous
ringtones are intresting but they just suck
bad wallpaper choices
Great Phone, Worth the Cash
I give this phone 3.5/5 stars.
A little about this before I start getting into Pros & Cons. This is my first flip phone (before I had an old nokia) so I cant tell you how it is compared to others.
PROS:
*Sleek, rich style (outside)
*Colored Screen
*Lightweight, not to heavy
*Caller ID & Picture ID
*Easy Menus, you can also chose 2 different formats to show them (icons or list)
*Camera has 3 styles to take a picture (low, medium, high quality) and has 4x zoom, a nice feature to have
*Has a place for self portrait so you can see yourself before taking the picture.
*Has many many features to use. It has Brew (lets you get games/ringtones), a Tip calculator, normal calculator, schedule, Voice memos, notepad, alarm clock, and more.
*Great colored screen. You can have a wallpaper of a picture you took or one of the many preset professional looking photos.
*You can have about 5 different color themes for your phone (Default, Red, Green, Violet, and Pink)
*Scrolling message when you flip down the phone is cool - scrolling text shows the time and above that is the battery level an d signal strength.
*Comes with about 5 fun frames which enable you to place the face of someone in a body or setting.
CONS:
*It uses strickly CDMA so if you are in rural areas you may not be able to get connection.
*No Speaker phone (without tampering)
*The lights are set at 7 seconds, you cant change them, so you have to keep pushing buttons to keep the light on.
*You can only store up to 20 high quality photos, which isn't bad, just could always use more space.
*No games come with the phone and some ringtones come with it, so you have to pay for new ones.
That about sums the phone up. Its a great phone, I am very pleased with it, especially for it being my first flip phone. You get alot of bang for the buck basically. Highly recommended.
camera uses are awlseome
this is my dad's phone but i use it everyday anyway and to me the coolest part is the way u can paste someones head from a picture u took on to a frame for instance my personal favorite u can paste some 1's head onto one of those big muscular body cut outs. p.s: great for a cheap laugh.
AMAZING PHONE
I purchased the VX600 one year ago. I thought it was different since it was my first pix phone. It is the coolest phone. It is VERY durable. Some bimbo said it felt "plasticky" and "cheap". It's not. I dropped it numerous times and even dropped it in my tea, and amazingly it still works. I had a unfortunate accident when it fell out of a hole in my pocket. I was on a construction site and it was run over by 100,000lb. track-hoe. The screen was ripped off and the Menu, Contacts, and Clear buttons were shoved under the number keys, but it still worked and dialed out. I was very impressed with the replacement. VERY IMPORTANT: Always get insurance. It is not that expensive and it keeps you from paying $400. They will replace it if it is lost, stolen, damaged, etc... This signal strength is excellent, but the battery did last very long. I solved that by buying an extended life battery. (A little pricey, but well worth it.) Overall this is the best phone I have ever had.
