First PDA phone, not for me
I did quite a bit of research before buying my first PDA phone and I would rate this the best of all I've seen across Sprint & Verizon.
I chose AT&T originally for the AT&T 3125 which I think is the best smartphone available w/Windows Mobile 5.0 (for size), unfortunately I found AT&T's coverage/network inferior to Sprint & Verizon, so I switched back to Sprint with the Mogul.
Pros:
1. From what I see, Windows Mobile 6.0 is great. I'll miss it even after only a few days using it.
Cons:
1. It's too big for me - I like a small phone (even though very competitively sized to other PDA phones).
2. Text messaging is a nightmare - if you do a lot of that. You need to slide the keyboard out if you're not comfortable using the onscreen touch keyboard (very small - even in "large" font).
3. Battery life horrible - again, my first PDA phone - so maybe this is normal, but mine died after 13 hours unplugged, about 30 minutes of talk time all day and 10-12 text messages (no internet/data usage).
4. Sprint markets this phone as "GPS Enabled" but it is NOT capable of Sprint Navigation (or Telenav). I was told when buying at a Sprint store that I would be able to use Nav features and they even signed me up for a Navigation plan, only to find out later phone is not capable of it.
In summary - I want a powerful smartphone that is small and light. This is not it - AT&T has it (without the Navigation - 3125), but I'll stay with Sprint with a different plain old phone or move to Verizon. Maybe someday someone will have a small, light bar or flip phone that has Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0.

HI , I got this through the sprint website and after use it for 1st day I experience of the poor battery life , after a full charge it only last about 12 hours even I did not often use the wireless web and wifi , I brought it to 3 Sprint center but none of them have this phone battery to exchange and you have to wait minimum 1/2 hours ,the power button on the side always made me hit it and power OFF (poor design) , after all I can see the technician and he setup the phone for me in order to pro-long the battery life then weird thing happen is sometime I can not make outgoing call or receive the incoming call , I just keep reset the phone to get back to normal but it still same , so I call Sprint to return the phone and first time they tell me that I should receive the return envelope in the next 3-5 days , nothing after 10 days!!! Then I call again and also promise the kit will be at my place in 3-5 days ,9 days already but I still
not receive it !!!What a service !!!!
Not Impressed
I probably cant say anything that has not been mentioned already. My biggest complaint is the battery life. It is terrible ! The windows draws too much from the battery. I could not go the day without charging it. For some people this is not a problem but for someone like me who travels via airplane daily it is. Speaking of traveling when you change time zones the clock will not change to the proper time. I even called tech support on this one this one thinking i set the phone up wrong. If you take a pic. with it forget about sending it to another phone only to an e mail account. With the car charger hooked up forget about talking on it. You cant talk and charge at the same time. I have been with sprint for 9 years and this is by far the worst phone i have ever had. I was so unhappy with this phone i got a new phone all together.
Run Forest Run
I've had this phone(or does it have me?)4.1 weeks. 2 replacements,25 soft resets,5 hard resets,60 hours of download, erase, reload, reboot, re-sync, lock-up,re-set, cry, repeat, repeat.....Sprint would have given me a different phone 4.0 weeks into this nightmare.But alas now when it crashes all I can expect is a new one just like the last one.
If you want to buy this phone I have a brand new one I'll sell you. Read All of the reviews, and "Run Forest Run!!!"
dont buy the phone
hey all considering this phone i work for sprint/nextel and am a repair tech and i have got to tell you this phone is terrible it has rom issues out the box bluetooth issues out the box and if you can succsefully update the rom from there site without frying your phone your doing well we use a system called future dial to do prl firmware and rom updates but all of these phones that we sell come back so many times the treo is desent but over all the best bang for you but is the rim blackberry 8330 curve or if you like small but can do everything any of the other bb can do the 8130 is great i own both one for work one for fun love them they do more productive things than all the others put together can do if you got big hands 8330 curve is for you if you got small hands or just like small phones that do it all its definatly the 8130 peal but do not by the mougul you will kick yourself in the rear
I love the phone and would hate to think of life without it.

I have not had any battery issues. I will charge my phone every other night. I do turn the phone completely off while it is charging. Depending on use it usually will be between 20% and 40% charge when I recharge the unit. On average I will make/receive 10-15 phone calls a day which last around two-four MPC I automatically download and check emails every 30mn I am always using the internet.I use the Bluetooth for my headset and GPS. I use the Earthmate BT-20 GPS with DeLorme 2008 software for GPS with no problems. The only time that I have to restart the phone is when I have been running Word, Excel, and DeLorme USA software all at the same time for a few hours.
What I like most about this phone is the big screen. Thanks to the 6800 I can put getting glasses for at least another year :-) If you are familiar with windows then it is very simple to navigate and setup.
It is very durable. I have dropped it more times than I would like to remember and it keeps on ticking. It has even been dropped from the top of our number 1 fire engine, approximately 10ft, and landed on pavement. Scratched the case, the battery cover came off however the PDA/Phone didnât miss a beat.
Phone quality is excellent, both Tx and Rx however speaker phone could stand to be a little bit louder at full volume.
The camera is the best camera phone that I have ever seen. Be sure to change it from the default settings to get the higher quality. Remember it is only a 2.0 Mega Pixel camera so donât compare it to a 3.
It syncs easily and effortlessly via USB. I have never tried to sync via Bluetooth.
Outlook works great and was easy to config with our departments server.
The only con that I have with the phone is the Voice Sync. It often takes a couple of tries to get the correct contact name; however that might by because of my southern draw.
XV6800 Adios!!!!
This is my 4th smartphone, and it will be for not much longer. Where do I start? This is by far the worst phone I have owned, made me want to go back to one of the flip phones I owned 4 years ago. I was very happy to recieve this phone when I first bought it, great features, smaller then my treo 700w, quite a few upgrades from the treo. So I thought... I am still counting the hard restarts I have had to do in the two weeks I have owned this phone, my very fair guess would be 15 times in 2 weeks. Not to mention the soft restarts, which would be around 3 or 4 a day.
Here's my pro's and con's:
Pro's:
-smaller and lighter than 700w
-2.0 mp camera quality
-Wifi
-Loads documents fast from email (word, excel)
Con's:
-Restart, Restart, Restart!!!
-Loss of phone calls and messages due to phone being locked up.
-Battery life, finally sunk to 6 hours today, with 5 text messages sent, being the only use for the day. At full charge.
-Not having any keyboard on the front.
-Very slow phone
-Running programs don't close after use, causing more to the slow problem.
Dare I need to add any more. Do you homework, and look for a different phone.
I thought I did, but I guess not.

Not there yet....
I have had nearly every windows PDA since the original IPaq so was looking forward to Mobile 6 and the Mogul. I had a PPC 6700 which crashed too often and too slow. For the past year own the Treo 700wx - also suffers frequent freezes.
The Mogul is an improvement over the 6700. Faster, more memory, better screen. Seems to be more bullet proof regarding freezing up.
BUT
I have gotten used to a backlit keyboard. If you plan on typing in anything other than bright ambient light, you won't see the characters. Worse, the number keys are a medium blue on a black background key making them particularly difficult to see (maybe only the Sprint version?). The other issue is that the phone software is not easy to use and requires additional "clicks" to navigate compared to the Treo. These two issues were enough to make me return the phone to Sprint and I will continue using my Treo 700WX until something better comes along.
