Great Phone!
This is a nice phone with a few glitches that will more than likely be fixed with a few updates.

better to hold up my coffee table
working at sprint ive messed with every phone they have had for the last 10 years, everything from the old school nokias to the new palms and blackberrys (my personal choice) but i have to say that this may be the most overhyped and junk phone they have ever released. the battery life is horrid (hit 60% find a charger quick), the reception is worse than their free samsung phones, and the touch screen? Theres nothing i like better than trying to select something and everytime i try to scroll up and down i grab like everything but the selection i wanted. Forget about making playlist for your music you will just get frustrated in about 20 seconds anyway. or even scrolling thru your contacts.
pros:
it is cool on the home screen that i can set up auto text to certain contacts
ummm the box it comes in is pretty cool i guess
visual voicemail is nice since i skip around on what messages i listen too
the history with text messaging is cool since it shows everything like a forum post almost
cons:
love how my cheek makes contacts when im on the phone
battery life (they give ytou 2 batteries...its not because theyre being nice you will need them both charging)
reception
3rd party apps....yeah none of those
like i tell customers if your upgrading from an old flip phone and wanna look cool doing it this phone is perfect
if not............anything else is better
Instinct Not All That
It's a nice phone but will not open PDF files. I have talked to sprint tech support and they sent me to samsung tech support. There I was told there is no program as of yet to open PDF files. If by some chance anyone out there that can open PDF files on this phone please let me know. I need this program on my phone for my business.
Samsung misses the point
What an impressive media device. Too bad I need a reliable telephone instead.
As with all Samsung phones, the signal kills the deal. It's nowhere near as capable of capturing and retaining the signal as any of the Sanyo phones.
Of course I guess all the extra features and functions will entertain you while you're missing and dropping calls.
INSTANT: NO EMAIL ATTACHMENT CAPABILITY
Nice phone but for most users who need to be able to view email attachments (gif's, jpeg's, microsoft word, pdf's etc) such isn't available on the Instinct. Why would Sprint NOT introduce a phone which has all functionalities with regards to email? Who knows but for 80% of us who utilize our phones for email we need to be able to view attachments.
Frustrated with the instinct
Pro's:
looks cool
saves text messages in a way that is user friendly so you dont have to go back between sent and inbox items to remember what was said.
pretty good picture quality
cons:
poor quality phone
erases all my pictures for no reason
choppy choppy tv mode
super slow with commands
no making accidental calls if you put in pocket without locking phone
sometimes phone turns off when trying to unlock
slow when unlocking
big phone (but not iphone big)
I feel like I am a guinea pig for this phone and without going into any detail I would just like to say this is my 4th attempt at this phone. Yes, you heard me, I have replaced this phone 4 times thus far and my current phone is experiencing heavy messaging problems
My first instinct
i dont have a instinct but i have played with a couple before and i have to say there ok... when i tried to text i couldnt get the right letters in but the phone is very nice just not my style also the theme gets boring
unbelievable
This phone is great . does evrything you need it to do ... 10 times better thrn the iphone
