Just picked up this device and after a day it is going back! My wife uses the new Apple 3Gs iphone and first of all signal strength side by side the iphone is superior! Comparing the two side by side it is clear that this will be another passing joke like all others who have tried to beat the iphone. I was a believer too until today. Monday this junk is going back to Verizon and I am voiding the new contract and reluctantly until now going to the true King of phones, the 32gb 3Gs iphone!
Nice phone...BUT
I am very disappointed that Verizon/Motorola/Google would sell a phone that you can not legally make calls on (in California and elsewhere) while driving a car because voice dialing is inoperable from a Bluetooth headset. The Salesman had said that it is was coming in 2 weeks but 2 followups with Verizon verified that no such knowledge at Verizon was available and that they could not promise that it would ever be available.
Otherwise, the phone worked fine.
I returned the Droid and got a Blackberry
