Audiovox CDM-8910 / PM-8912 / Flasher V7
Average Ratings
8910 Craper
I've had this piece of junk for 7 months (Nov of 2004) and have had more problems then enough.
Pro's:
none
Con's:
everything about the thing!
If you put more then 25 numbers in it you can't use the phone book look-up to enter the for text message's.
9 times out of 10 you can't get on-line.
too many error messages to mention here.
Took it back to where i got it and they told me "too bad" theres not a fix for it yet.
Called Audiovox and got the same thing.
Got it at DownEast Mobility in Nova Scotia Canada where they say "Service doesn't cost... It pays!" yeah right pays them big time.
Still waiting for it to be fixed
Stay away from this one !!!
Top Of The Line From Virgin Mobile
This camera phone is amazing! All the features you could ever want, camera, color screen, superphonic ringtones all in a nice small package. This is the phone to get if you are into Virgin Mobile's Pay As You Go pricing. It is top of the line!
Not worth the money if it comes for metro pcs
I have had this phone for 6 months because i have been forced to because I am 17 and living with my parents you would think for 159 dollars that this phone would be good but its not i would not reccomend it if you looking for metro pcs either spend the extra 40 dollars for the next phone or buy a cheaper phone it would sure be better than this one!
thanks
Its ok from the verizon side....
Its ok from the verizon side, but thay could have done alot better. This phone has good features but not up to my standards so i returned it. DON'T let the price suck you in.
Nice Addition to the Virgin Mobile Family
The Audiovox Flasher V7 seems to be a nice phone. Virgin Mobile doesn't have the best signal in the Appalachian Mountains but this phone seems to get better reception than my other Virgin Mobile phones.
Pros- This Phone has a very impressive look. Very high quality photos can be taken with its 310 pixel camera for a cell phone. Very entertaining games can be downloaded from the new Virgin XL. All around a great mobile phone.
Cons- The antenna is cheap and I am afraid I am going to break it. The other thing I don't like is it costs $.25 to send and RECIEVE picture messages.
If you are looking for prepaid cell phone I would recommend the Virgin Mobile V7 Flasher!
Please Answer These Questions
Hi everyone! I have been considering buying the Audivox Flasher V7 from Virgin Mobile, and I have a few questions about it. First of all I would like to say if you have verizon service dont asnwer, answer only your service provider is virgin mobile. First, does it coast anything to access virgin XL, I know it coasts money to buy things such as ringtones, but does it cost anything to just browse? also, is there a browser on it? if so, how much does that cost? Also, can you link your IM screen name to it and receive instant messenges from IM? If you know ANY of the answers to any of my questions or think you know that would be very helpfull! you can email me at iloveminivans@hotmail.com
THANKS!

I had this phone for about 4 months and i hated it..
Cons: If your using speaker phone it better be in a quiet area
Stupid ringers.. i had to download ringers off the sony thing so it would be loud enough..
Camera is not good.. not even worth sayin theres a camera on the phone
the antenna was ugly as hell
I Hated the external display i felt like i was a caveman.
Pros: the signal was usualy always strong
never dropped a call
batter is OK ...
Don't bother buying
This phone is crap. I had an Audiovox before this one that was great, simple but great. Had a loud ringtome and earpiece volume.
I wanted the new 9900 but they were out of stock so I got this one. HUGE MISTAKE.
Low ring volume even on level 5 I missed many calls. The only way you know you missed calls is to go look under missed calls. totally unacceptable.
Earpiece volume on high way to low.
Complicated to use. Directions are 140 pages long.
Picture clarity not that good and night photo's are unusable.
After missing so many calls I traded under Verizons 15 days return policy for the 9900 a week later.
That was the best choice I ever made, returning it and getting the 9900.
Save yourself a lot of time and frustration and don't get this. I am sold on the Audiovox line, but not on this model.
