Motorola T720 (CDMA)
Average Ratings
T720
I like The phone because it looks cool, but it really sucks. It drops calls its freezes it just really sucks. If u are plaining on getting this phone Don't u will hate it. Just like I do. I think next time Motorola comes out with a phone they should test it better before they put it on the market.
Good Phone
Excellent phone overall, but there are some concerns like everyone else has.
In high noise environments, still have trouble with ear piece. The phone continues to convert to analog coverage in digital fringe areas. I have trouble in high speed data areas. 31K drops out and 1xRTT in strong signal areas fails quite often.
Other than data, this is a VERY COOL phone in appearance and meets almost every need that I have.
Looking forward to the v60p from Verizon coming soon (I hope).
Cheers
Gets the job done... plus some neat features
This phone works fine. Those people who complain about it are just whiners. There are a few glitches about the phone.
*Sometimes while charging the phone will freeze and the date freezes and you cannot power the phone on or off FIX: take the battery out.
* Sometimes difficult getting the charger in the phone... FIX: just try it a few times you'll eventually get it.
* The phones display gets dirty easily. FIX: Wipe it off. =)
The phone works fine with Verizon Wireless service 0-1% dropped calls, which is GREAT compared to all other companies out there.
You can use BREW and GET IT NOW, and check your hotmail, and look up how to make alcoholic drinks =) Lots of fun stuff. You can also down load pictures to you phone using these services, then show them off to your friends.
I am planning on getting a new phone once Verizon wireless comes out with the camera phones. =) but until then I'll stick with this one. Go MOT 720! =)
Not too happy with this phone
My first impression when I bought the phone in September was: Wow! what a cool phone.
The things I liked about the phone were the display, the ablility to set up many menu shortcuts and the Get It Now apps, even though they were expensive. The phone has a good feel to it as well.
Now for the bad. I went through 1 17P phone and 2 19D phones before giving up. The phone could not make up its mind whether it wanted to be in Digital, Analog, or no service with both 17P and 19C. For S/W verison 17P, the ringer sometimes wouldn't stop ringing until I yanked the battery. S/W 17P also shut down about 1/5 of the time while deleting SMS messages. For 19C the only 2 complaints other than the digital/analog/no service thing was the color screen would just go blank occasionally. Also 2 times while trying to make a call when the phone was switching between digital and analog service the phone shut off. I have now swithced back to my Kyocera 2235. The 2235 phone holds a digital signal with 4 bars while the T720 less than 2 inches away is in no service.
Overall a good idea for a phone, just bad execution.
mot 720
The Motorola t720 is a new phone. But I have just some little fault w/ the batter life. When they state it was 2.25 hours. They mean just that! If they come up w/ a longer life this phone would be the best ever.
Its alright...
well i had the lg510 then went to the v60c and now im on the the 720...overall this phone is not great. phone should have had a speakerphone, a option every other company except verizon has caught on to. its such a nice feature and a huge dissapointment that this phone did not come with that. the battery is not great, when i have to conserve my phone being on or off because it might die later and i wont get to use it for the entire night is insane. theres no reason why they couldnt have made this with a better battery considering the price tag for a verizon phone. get it now is kinda cool but not really moving to fast yet. not much for ringers and no wallpapers is the dumbest thing ive ever seen. service with the phone is ok at best. when i first had it, it dropped calls all the time when i had full service lately it hasnt been too bad, but could be better...overall this phone is a big dissapointment wouldnt recommend it, wait till end of november hopefully verizon will get there stuff together and start producing some good quality cell phones that people can be happy about, and they need to get some people working on the get it now features, theres simply not enough options on it...seems like they just threw it together....
Not Sure!
I purchased the T720, and within the first day there were issues. While recording the voice dialing, the phone went mute, I could hear it ring but to answer a call or make one was dead silence. I plugged a hands free set into it and low and behold it began to work again. Then today (4 days later) I plugged it in to charge it and it would not power on when it had finished charging. The external caller ID showed "1 missed call" but the inside display was completely black. I attempted to power it on but nothing, I took the battery out, put it back in and it began to work. I am now seriously considering returning it, bad thing is that I sent my other phone to Motorola to get the $100. rebate on this phone. So if I send it back I will be without a phone until another is shipped. I think maybe I jumped too soon, should have waited for more information on the pros & cons. Motorola is pretty trustworthy, so I went for it. But now I'm not so sure i mad the right decision.
One of top 3 on the market!
The best phone by Verizon since the Star Tac. The best phone hands down. Sprint's LG 5350 runs a closed second, then the Sanyo 5150 comes in third.
BAD PHONE... LOTS OF PROBLEMS!!!
The worst phone motorola came out with. phone came out only a few weeks ago and already went on its first recall. the color lcd is the worst one i have ever seen. does not even come close to samsung screens (a500, n400 etc). battery life is really bad. does not last a whole day if you make a few phone calls. body is just thin plastic. the battery cover breaks easily if you drop it. size is bigger than average flip phones (when open).
overall not a great phone!!!
Great Phone!
I owned this phone for a couple months until I found the Sanyo 5300 picture phone. But while I owned this phone I loved it. Had great features and functions.
The only thing I had a problem with was the company Verizon Wireless. I didnt like them at all. Reception was good but customer service and prices were absolutely terrible.
But the phone was a great phone and made well!
