Audiovox CDM-8910 / PM-8912 / Flasher V7
Average Ratings
Go with the 9900
I sell Verizon and would not recomend this phone to anyone I like. I have both the 8900 and the 9900 and do not understand why Audiovox even made the 8910. To begin with it is dual band whereas the 8900 and the 9900 are both Tri-Mode. The battery life on this phone is much lower than the other two and the the camera is worse than the one on the 8900. The flash really does nothing because the photo quality is so poor. I have even had a hard time programing this phone in my store because its reception is so spotty. For the extra $30 the 9900 is worth every cent.
its ok, but get 9900
the battery sucks big time!!! we have to charge it every day and only use it a few times during the day. the rest of the phone is pretty good though, but the 9900 is suppurb!!
sucks sucks sucks!!!!!!!

THIS PHONE SUCKS!
This phone is the worst! I mean audiovox can't make a hone for their lives. This phone is pure crap!!!!
I Can't Believe I Extended My Contract to get this Phone.
When it came time for my contract to expire, I was looking for a new phone. Everyone kept telling me about the Audiovox 8910 and how great it was. So luckily I was able to get the phone for free. I took it home and was happy with it for a few weeks. Then I noticed that the battery didn't last as long as it ahould. I get GREAT reception where I live. I took it in to Alltel and they replaced the battery and two weeks later, I MADE them replace the phone. They even told me that they had more of these phones broght back than any other phone they sold. Two weeks later I had my old faithful Moto 120e reactivated until I can buy a phone worth buying.
Pros:
It was free.
It was compact.
Cons:
Graphics SUCKED.
Battery was constantly DEAD.
The vibrator was louder than the ringer.
It vibrated stronger when it rang than when on vibrate.
The camera sucked.
Couldn't send or recieve pics.
Take my advice, if you want a GOOD phone don't get this one even if its free. You'll have nothing but trouble.
I had this phone for a year, worst mistake
Pros
It was cool when I got it. I love the frames on the camera, they're hillarious.
Cons
After like a month it started having issues. Like the battery would only last about 8 hours, even if I didn't use it. If you drop it, the battery pops out. It gets scratched & nicked easily. The speaker phone option was useless after about a month & I could not understand anything. I had it serviced about half way threw because the charger prong could be wiggled 1/4" in any direction & would no longer charge. After having it about 9 months the screens randomly stopped functioning. You could still make calls & the phone functioned. In order to get the screen to work, I shut it off & took out the battery for a few minutes. Sometimes when I plugged in the charger the phone would vibrate & the screens would be lit, but blank. This usually stopped after about half an hour, but it was really annoying. The camera is very low quality. If you're taking pictures from 2-4' away it's OK. I recently discovered that it has no resistance to water & the only thing I miss about it was the phone numbers I had saved in it. I have a several friends who also have the phone & they all have continuous problems with it.
I dont see what the problem is
Sure the phone's picture aren't the best, but what do you expect, a camera!? I like the exterior and the interior isn't bad. I don't like the backlit yellow, but I can live with it.
Pros
-Easy to navigate
-Camera (even though it doesn't work as well as some phones, it still has a camera)
-It's not to big
-I like the exterior
-The LCD on the outside is fun to play with if you hold down the picture button for like 3 seconds when it's closed.
-Enough features (enough that it's good but not so much that it kills the battery in 10 min)
Cons
-Yellow back lit keypad (but it doesn't bother me)
-Interior is kind of ugly (once again it doesn't matter)
-Not quite as much battery length of some of my other phones (like the v262)
Mediocre phone, better to upgrade...
I have ALLTEL as a service provider and REALLY wanted to like this phone. I re-upped my expired contract for 2 years and got this phone for $19.99, but after a few days grew tired of the soft speakerphone, poor camera, and low audio capabilites. The camera seems to want to overexpose and color-correct the pictures to where I was taking the same picture over and over again to get good quality. It was easy to use but not my quality, so I took it back after 14 days and exchanged it for the LG-AX5000 which I really love. My advice is to get this for a kid, but adults may feel short changed on this one...sorry :-(
CDM-8910
Got this phone a week ago, after switching from Cell-one to verizon. I am happy with Verizon, but this phone sucks! You do not get good reception with this phone. The phone had before that was about 5 yrs old, got better reception than this one. I have 14 days to try it out and I plan on taking it back and exchanging it for a different phone. The ringer is NOT loud enough. The camera is ok at best. The only thing I liked about this phone is that it looks nice. Hope this helps.
