THE BEST !!!!!!! IT ROCKS !!!!!!!
This phone is the best I have ever had and I have had 40-50 cell phones. It is easy to use. Has Great Features like the radio, super fast browsing, plays Hi-Fi & mp3 ringtones, Takes great pics for a phone camera, and is connectable to your PC using the Nokia suite. I can actually hear people well on my end of the call; not like alot of phones. Gets excellent reception also.Just a great phone that really ROCKS !!!!!!! I would recommend it to anyone that wants quality in a phone. The Nokia 6101 is the BEST !!!!!!!
ecxellent phone just a few small drawbacks
i received this phone about a week ago and so far i have enjoyed it. my previous phone was the Nokia 3595 which i was very happy with i just needed some extra features.
cons of the phone are :
1)no bluetooth(but not a major issue)
2)very small amount of memory
3)the back cover seems to loosen quickly 4)the ringtones sound awful due to the cheap speaker
5)i have the Cingular version(6102) and the buttons are a bit small but i can still manage them though
6)volume on the phone was a little low until i read the manual and figured out how to set the volume to Automatic Volume Control. which controls background noise and makes the other person sound much clearer and louder
pros of the phone are :
1)good reception, it's a Nokia
2)good camera, i like the self portrait feature
3)very customizable
4)emailing pictures is very easy
5)big mini display
6)over all the phone feels solid, except for the back cover
7)great battery life
8)connects to the internet quickly and downloads quickly
so far this a great phone i hope to enjoy a while, it has many great features and is very customizable. i would recommend this phone to someone who is wanting a "PHONE" for phone purposes first and everything else second. if you are wanting a smartphone or a phone with more memory this would not be the phone for you.
Nice phone, the top part of the flip would not come lose.
The truth is that this phone is not that bad function wise. It has great reception and the menus are easy and fast to navigate. However, Nokia did not do a good job in building a solid phone, it just feels flimsy. The top part of the flip keeps coming lose, and whenever I push it against my ear, even if itâs very softly, the plastic squeaks like if it was going to fall apart. Nice try Nokia, but you still have a long way to go with flip phones.
I give the 6102 3.5 out of 5, because it works fine as a phone, but it is not that durable.
Pretty good
I just got this phone yesterday and from what I can tell it's very similar to the Nokia 6610 (the phone that I had before) the only difference is the flip and the camera pretty much. The main thing that I don't like about this phone that may eventually make me return it is the volume. Why can't nokia make a decent speakerphone??? Even the headset volume kinda sucks, I'll give it a few days and see if it grows on me.
Nokia 6102 pretty good phone
I recently purchased the Nokia 6102. The phone I had been waiting on for about 2 months (upgrade). I am pretty pleased with the phone, it IS a Nokia and they are clearly known for signal strength and phone stability. There are a few things I do not like about the phone though, the main one is the frickin' time delay!!! There is like a 2 second delay on everything, opening up folders .. everything. The camera is pretty good on it, it has 4.4 MB of memory which was more than my Piece O' Shhhh... lg 2000; but still not enough if you like to download alot of songs like myself. The outer screen is pretty big which is definitely a plus, the screen saver options are pretty cool too. I would recommend buying this phone for the price you can't beat the features.
Great so far
I just got this phone. For the price, the phone is great. But, I do have a couple complaints. First of all, the volume was a problem at first, but after reading a suggestion from a previous post, that problem was solved. Secondly, the display on the phone isn't clear. This is only a minor problem though and for the price, I guess you can't really expect a five star phone.
I like this Phizone
Yeah, it's so cool that it's not a phone but a phizone! I had one before but then I dropped it and I was bummed. I only had it for a week but I still like it. They sent me a new one and it's cool.
good phone.... a few drawbacks.
i just got the nokia 6102 a few weeks ago. its a good phone but it has its pros and cons.
pros:
*very nice looking phone. classy.
*outside screen is big
*picture quality is pretty good.
*speakerphone sounds pretty good
*VERY customizable. down to the color the words are on the screen.
*i can email myself pictures, which is great.
*very easy navigation menu. the normal nokia navigation menu always bugged me. this one is a little different, but just as easy (if not easier) than the old one.
*i get great reception EVERYWHERE. i almost never have no service. (i have cingular and i live in the orlando, fl. area)
*it has a radio, but u have to buy special headphones for it.
cons:
*the sound of the downloaded ringtones is TERRIBLE. very hollow and kind of scratchy. it bugs the crap out of me. i have to set the ringtone volume pretty low just to make it sound halfway decent.
*the memory isnt that good.
*while the design of the phone looks very nice, the black parts of the phone get fingerprints and smudges VERY easily. i constantly have to wipe it off which is very annoying.
*the phone doesnt feel or look as solid as it does online. when i got the phone in the mail i was surprised at how cheap and plastic it looked and felt. dont get me wrong, the phone looks great. just not as great as i thought.
*at times the phone is very hard to hear on.
*the vibration isnt that strong. sometimes i cant feel it.
anyways, i love the phone, but it does have it drawbacks. im looking at other phones just to see what else is out there. but overall this phone is great. just a few minor things i dont like.
