general happiness
Pros:
Great screen. The video games are surreal.
Texting with T9 is easy and convenient.
Video rings are great! Envy of many friends
Access to yahoo, google, and Myspace.
Cons:
Rings and alerts not loud enough.
Camera leaves a lot to be desired. Flash makes pics unintelligible.
No "Tool" avaible for rings and Video's. not everyone is into hip-hop.
Salesman told me I would be able to slice music to create my own rings, unable to do so.
All in all not a bad phone. I was just told that it could do more. I got an e-mail from Helio saying I could load video onto Youtube, and that's not true.

Important: No JAVA!
I was about to purchase this phone and switch from Cingular to Helio, but thank goodness I did some additional research before buying! A previous reviewer mentioned that he or she had trouble accessing Gmail, and that that was a dealbreaker for this particular phone. I feel the same, and I now know _why_ Gmail doesn't work on this phone:
No Java (J2ME) support! This means you can't download java apps and run them. Why? Maybe there is something I don't know, but the Helio website certainly did not provide any explanation.
Unique, not great, seems flimsy
Build quality is not great, the top of the phone moves side to side and seems not very secure. GPS is more of a novelty that real GPS. This phone is not for someone who wants turn by turn like Nextel Tel Nav provides. Screen is very sharp and others here have covered the pluses and minuses already.
