Nokia 7210

Very disappointed in the phone
I checked out the Nokia interface, and thought it was great. I was really looking forward to having a color screen. Unfortunately, my experience with the phone has been very disappointing on 2 fronts:
1. Reception is awful - this is really the biggest gripe i have with the phone. My previous phone was a Siemens s46, which while it is not a great looking phone, works really well. Traveling around my home area with the Siemens i never lost any calls. The 7210 (using the same carrier), loses calls ALL the time. This is extremely frustrating and is causing me to look for another phone.
2. There are times when the phone just decides to go into silent mode causing me to miss calls. At first, i thought i had screwed up the settings, but after consistently having issues despite adjusting settings, i have concluded it's the phone and not me. Typically, turning the phone off, then back on again will reset it so that it will ring again - at least for a period of time.
nokia 7210 in Canada
Well, to those of you in the u.s., consider yourselves lucky. Your 7210 actually has an IR port. I recently bought one through Fido (Microcell) and it is sorely lacking. However, aside from no IR and no voice activation, it is a solid phone. Best reception of any Nokia aside from the 6310i, and the polytones are good, bordering on great. The screen is sharp, and the camera attachment is useful although the resolution isn't as good as the Panasonic (to be expected I guess)
All in all, I like it.
nokia 7210
I think this phone is the best because of the speaker phone and unlike my other phone is has polyphonic ringtones and it has a F.M. radio i think thats really cool. I think it better than alot of phones because it has express on covers and alot of different features. Its alot better than some a Motorola t720i because everything is better. The quality of the Nokia is above average but the shape of it is awesome.
T-riffic Phone...
This is one heck of a phone that I just got. I work for T-Mobile and I consider myself a Nokia brat. I am very pleased with this phone and its performance so far.
It connect very quickly to the web and the colors are very vivid. I have never had a phone with a built-in speakerphone and it is a nice thing to have.
I do wish that the phone had built in Bluetooth but I am totally fine for now.
Not so great reception
I have owned this phone for well over a year now. I have always been a Nokia fan from the first day I've owned a cell phone in 1996. Although some of the features are really great on this phone, I find the reception to be horrible. I have so many dropped calls and complete phone power failures that I've decided to let this phone go. I have been with ATT for a long time but have now decided that I going to swicth over to Sprint. Now I have heard the horror stories about Sprint but I figure it this way; If I'm going to have a network with horribe reception, I may as well go with the network with the better phones and features don't you think?
Nokia 7210
I'm a long-time T-Mobile account holder in the U.S. I am currently using the Nokia 7210, which my husband bought for me from a gentleman in Hong Kong, before the phone was available in the U.S. I love the phone, it works wonderfully on the T-Mobile network, and it's my first Nokia with polyphonic ringtones, but the pretty ringtones are just not loud enough. I'm always missing calls because I can't hear the phone ringing!
NOKIA 7210
I bought the phone for $350 on a friday and returned the phone monday back to ATT. I was crazy enough to turn in my Motorola T720 GSM for the new Nokia 7210. Boy what a dissappointment. The nokia has no security features, (ie. lock phone book, text messages, etc. Voice quality sounds as if you were in the bottom of a can. Medicore polyphonic ringtones, or pay extra money on top of the $350 and download others. Keys are very small and awkward to use. Me and my friend were in a grocery store, we were side-by-side, his Motorola T720 had 3 signal bars, my Nokia 7210 said no service. That is when I knew that the phone was going back. It's a pretty phone, but that's about it. I don't know how ATT is going to sell the phone for $350.00. The 8260 nokia is better.
