Samsung T429 - could be better.
This phone was purchased to replace a dead Nokia. After 3 days of near zero signal, while my standby Nokia had almost full signal, this phone is being returned. I have been a T-Mobile customer over 4 years now, NW PA.
I have had other Samsung devices in the past and they performed very well. This was the exception. I really liked the slide action to this device. But, for what I paid for it, I was very disappointed.
PROS:
-smooth slide action
-decent screen (except in daylight)
-larger screen
-great keypad and backlight
-side keys for volume/camera
-camera ok for a phone
-call quality great
CONS:
-poor signal
-takes too long to send pict. message
-sometimes sliding phone open activates menu
Samsung needs to address the signal issue with this phone. Otherwise its a solid device.
