W760A=EXCELLENT PHONE
I JSUT picked up this phone today after a not so satisfactory experiance with the lg vu. I was immediately thrilled with this phone. I was using a blackberry before this. I was a little worried about the internet on this phone since I am used to a pda. but I am nothing but impressed. The internet is advanced and it has a pointer like it does on the blackberry internet. this phone is a lot better than i expected. it is the w580i times 10! It also helps that the red is so deep in color.
The battery life could be better, but no battery will last long with me as much as I text. the phone seems very sturdy also. I was always afraid i would break the w580i when I used that one. All in all, I would recommend this phone to anyone! I jsut wish it had the flashing lights like the w580i did."
PROS:
~STURDY PHONE
~FAST INTERNET, W POINTER
~GREAT CAMERA
~SHAKE CONTROL WITH GAMES AND INTERNET
~CRISP, CLEAR DISPLAY
~THEMES!!
~FM RADIO
CONS
~NO FLASH FOR CAMERA
~DOESNT COME WITH USB CABLE OR HEADPHONES
~NO FLASHING LIGHTS LIKE THE W58Oi
~BATTERY
nice walkman
It's a tad wider then I expected.
Overall a solid performer that doesn't disappoint. Gets signal everywhere that a Nokia 6131 did. Callers sound clear. Battery life could be better, but that's life in the 3G lane I guess.
CONS:
1. easy to hit loudspeaker when sliding open to answer a call
2. battery life so-so (recharge every 2 days with low-moderate use)
3. camera viewfinder not full-screen
4. RF is good but not stellar
5. Proprietary headset connector, no micro-USB
PROS:
1. Solid, quick & attractive interface
2. Voice quality pretty good.
3. keyboard feels good.
4. ability to flip taken pictures into landscape mode when viewing
Awesome Phone... When it works
I absolutely love this phone... I switched over to att form Verizon... I was originally going to purchase the iphone but considering how rough i am on my cell phones I needed the insurance (not available for the iphone) So I opted for the Sony Ericsson W760a... I have heard/read that SE makes extremely reliable and durable phones
Pros
-the size,
-ease of texting
-the ability to edit photo's right on the phone
-personalized ring-tones & messages for contacts
I love the tons of features it comes with,
-the mp3 player, (shake it to change songs)
-You can even download games/pics/sounds/and apps for free from the Sony Ericsson website
-xm radio
-you can watch/listen to pod casts on the phone
Cons
- can not down load music or pod cast from phone... You have to save it to your comp and then save it to the memory card then put the card in your phone
- doesn't automatically erase text messages so it will such up all your memory
- takes a Sony m2 memory chip not an SD micro
- No 2.5 mm jack for a wired headset or head phones
- Can't listen to mp3 player or radio with out a plug in headset
-does not come with an adapter for a wired headset nor does it come with a wired headset
- only vibrate or ring-tone... not both at the same time
- can not set an alarm for calender... if you set an appointment there is only one small beep to let you know...
****I firmly believe that all the pro's out way the cons... the only reason I rated this phone a 2.5 is because It keeps resetting it's self. actually it's more like it turns it's self off and then freezes trying to turn on... also sometimes it will say invalid Sim... I am on my 3rd phone in less than 2 months... I basically have to take the battery out of the back and put it back in about 4xs a day
