Motorola W376 / W377

Very Good But No Video
I'm writing a review on the Motorola W377,overall the phone is very good, its durability is amazing. The camera quality is very good. The only thing I don't think is good is that you don't have Media Player or Video capture and you also can't stick a mermory card in it and you only have 10 megabytes to use!But if you want to use this for calling an texting I'd recomend it.
motorola w376
I bought this phone in november after losing my previous older motorola. between the low price and double minutes for life i think it is well worth the money.tracfone was great about transferring my number and minutes from my old phone.
PROS:
reception is excellent anyplace
battery life has been adequate
camera is decent
CONS:
i really have only one complaint,
the phone has a snazzy FM radio tuner that you can listen to with an earphone or on the phones existing speaker. but, you cannot listen through the existing speaker without an earphone jack plugged in.i would like the speaker option without plugging a jack in.
GREAT PHONE!
I love it! My entire family has them now... and no monthly contract! No cancellation fee later on! Wonderful!
For a cheap phone, this little puppy can't be beat... no way Jose. Hands down! Stick it up the tail pipe good. I have had a cell phone of some kind non-stop since 1993 with one compamny or another. I have had plans with tons of minutes, lots of minutes, and unlimited minutes. I have had Blackberrys, Bag phones, Palm Treo phones, Motorola Razors and Razor2, and everything in between.
Well, due to hard luck, no dough, and the rough economic times, I had to drop my latest T-Mobile plan (I got out of $200 cancellation fee per line -- I had 4!!) due to moving to an area where they did not service.
Well, I decided to save some money each month instead of throwing cash on the ground in the Cell Phone hole! LOL So, my family went with Tracfones, and we all three have the Motorola w376. I love it!
For a $20.00 phone it is even better than I ever expected. I love Motoroal any way, so to get this new phone (supposedly reconditioned, but they are brand new) was a steal of a good deal.
Basically, Tracfone paid me $5 and/or $30 per phone to order these puppies! Go figure!! How and why? Well, the "Double Minute For Life" cards are $25 each at a store or online, right? ($50 in some stores!!) Right! Well, I got this w376 for only $20... that included the phone and the DMFL plan and promise... so you need do the math dude. Plus, with the DMFL plan, I pay only .10 cents per minute on calls and .03 cents per Txt M... not bad, huh?
This phone had lots of features, looks cool, is small, handy and works well (so far any way.) I recommend it for what it is. It is not a high-dollar Motorola, not a Blackberry, not an iPhone, etc., but for free it is top notch.
Plus, it uses the same Motorola USB charger cable, and I already had about 6 of them in my home and car... so I saved more money by not having to buy new charger cables.

better off verizon? Sure..
I personally do not like trac because they never help you and don't speak english. That is because there is no binding contract. Contracts are double sided. Either way I retail trac and this phone is solid. Sell alot to older people. Reference to PA where I live. Sprint is king across the US. Sprint is 98% 3G. At&t is 54% and verizon is 39% 3G. Sprint has an unlimited free roaming off verizon and at&t and are cheaper.
verizon is also being sued on 2 counts by the fed gov for falsifing information to its customers and unjustifingly increasing term fees. Sprint has been ontop nation wide since 200x followed by at&t then verizon. Also when I went to kataning PA I had full 5 bars evdo A service roaming off verizon and my mother in law had 3 bars non 3G on her VZ phone.
anyhow if you use your phone 3 times a year trac is the way to go! This phones great!
Love it!
Just bought the Motorol W376 and love it! The phone comes with double mintues feature, a camera, blue tooth and even some basic games. Affordable, reliable and like all Tracfones - no contracts/monthly fees! The best part for me is actually the double minite for life - which rolls over. As long as I buy some min. every 3 months :) So, I end up averaging $7-$8 a month on cell phone! Can't beat that!!!
TracFone in Koochiching County, MN
I am giving this a 2 because it is an excellent phone if you can use it. Great reception in International Falls, lose reception about 5 miles south. I live 8 miles south so it is of no use to me. Don't know where reception picks up again. I don't know why TracFone even sells this model in this area.
unhappy user
the w376 has some great features, but some of the features take pushing buttons a few times. but from the time i tried to go from one tracfone to another i had trouble. would not activate, would not take minutes ,customer service could not even get it to take the minutes so my 30.00 card is no good. wating for them to reactivate it if they do.
