Needs Better Battery
I have owned this phone for less than a week, and the only CON that i have about it, is that the battery really sux. I upgraded from the LG TM520, which didn't have that great of a battery either, but this phone is supposed to come with at least 3 hrs of talk time, yet after I fully charged the battery, I talked for less than one hour, and the battery needed charging shortly after that. I am going to give it a few more charging cycles before I decide whether or not I am going to keep it. Everything else about this phone is awesome, crisp clean pics, ringtones are ok, but I download anyway, and the different coloured LED and pics for people are really different. I totally love this phone, except for that battery. Since I talk a lot on my phone this is going to be a challenge. I may downgrade to a non-coloured screen again, but I do have 30 day to decide. What I recommend is that if u love to talk, do not buy this phone. But if that doesn't matter much, I would recommend this phone to anyone since it is a really cool phone. The key pad lights up well ( i love blue!), no matter where I am I always have a strong signal and I can hear people very well.... very litttle static on the line. Very good phone for call quality.
AWESOME
AWESOME!!!! Baby Im amazed at this a520... The reception is awesome, the sound is awesome, the whole package is awesome... The only thing which would make it the perfect cell phone is if there was an extended battery... Nothing is perfect, but the a520 is the closest thing there is to perfect... You will not be disappointed... Trust me....
Very good...
But not perfect...
Just upgrade from a Sanyo SCP-4000.
Overall, excellent phone, with every features i wanted (except built-in e-mail client).
The good:
- Screen
- Overall Design
- Features
The bad:
- Ringers (not a single normal one, even in the 10 simple ones)
- RF performance average.
- Sound... jury still out on that one.
This Phone RoCkS!
I love this phone...
As everyone else has said the colour is wicked-awesome...
The battery life isn't too shabby... I talked for 1 hour on the residual charge on the battery...
(1 hour and 5 min within 6-8 hours of owning the phone).
I was in an elevator last night and my phone switched to Analog... My T300 nor my A540 never did that... Hopefully just a one-time occurence (probably was)...
I'll post another review later...
The phone is laid out (menu wise) quite well...
I really like the ability to set the LED to flash and ringtone to play depending on which group (which you can rename to whatever you want) phones...
All we need now is downloadable games and colour graphics to be launched...
sph520
I bought the best one, what can I say ...even if the price is high. But it's worth it. I have not had problems with the connection so that works for me. The sounds are really clear, but the only thing that bothers me is that they do not have some nice colourful images for the phone OR THE MOST IMPORTANT some nice ringtones, like that sound like a phone not a music box :) Im waiting on that ...if anyone knows where I can get NORMAL telephone ringtones ...please let me know, I'm really interested ..and also better images/animations/menu's thanx!
looking good
i went to a store and played with the phone for a while and it rocks so far. the screen is really bright and colorful with MOVING (yes, moving) wallpapers. great menus and sounds. The outside lcd also looks great and is semi-holographic. my only beef with it visually is that the keypad doesn't light up %100 evenly and super bright like the kyocera 5135 does.
I haven't actually tested out the reception yet as i have not purchased the phone (i was in another city when i tried it.) I will post and another review after i purchase it.
