Kyocera X-tc M2000
Average Ratings
No Good
Picked this up at Best Buy. The screen, while nice, was tilted and off-center. The volume and sound quality coming from the earpiece is one of the worst I've ever heard. The keyboard is cramped, only 3 lines. Trying to dial a simple phone number is like rocket science. This is one of the worst Kyocera has ever put out, and I've used quite a few. No respect here for this phone. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Poor Performance
The X-tc seemed promising but the cons simply make this a poor device.
CONS:
1. Ear-piece volume is totally inadequate. It is not even close to usable. The speaker phone is ok but not great.
2. The RF/reception is poor, on par to the super slice. Granted the signal is not great where I am but my wild card (m1000) works fine where the X-tc is searching for service 50% of the time.
3. The dial-pad is integrated into the keyboard which is confusing. You probably get used to it eventually. The keyboard itself leaves something to be desired as far as the layout goes, but using the keys seems fine. The down arrow on my m2000 was not working properly so it had to be returned anyways.
4. The web seems pretty fast but the X-tc rebooted three times while on the web for no particular reason.
PROS:
1. The screen is large and good looking.
2. The slider works great.
