Boost Mobile Sanyo Mirro - 5 Stars/Excellent

Feb 26, 2010 by Austiniter

This phone ranks one of the highest phones I have ever purchased and utilized. I purchased this for a hard of hearing 88yo Senior Citizen which is also visually impaired. The Mirro has the highest headset volume of any phone I tried out (and I tried 11 of the most recommended phones). The Mirro has an adjustable screen for increasing the screen display to very LARGE letters, and which also shows LARGE contact names and their telephone numbers. The Mirro keypad offers large and easily displayed buttons. Anyone wanting an excellent phone, or one for a hearing/or visually impaired relative or friend will want to consider this phone.

Bought this phone for use with Boost Mobile today from Best Buy. One of the best phones I have ever used. I love the fact that the plan is totally unlimited for $50.00 a month for talk, text, and web. And roaming is included on the Sprint PCS network which I have been using for years with Virgin Mobile.
I've also been using Metro PCS and there is no comnparison that Sprint is the outright winner in that race.
Now for the phone:

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Overall I highly recommend.

In fact, I'am cancelling Metro tomorrow.

I love this phone. I love the internet because its quick and the graphics are great. The text message threading is wonderful. Still trying to figure it out but I'm sure that I will love it even more.

Too Soon To Tell

I won't give it a rating so far. I just acquired it yesterday after owning the Sanyo Katana 2 cell phone for 2 years. It's on a 30 day probation with me. It's seems simple enough to operate but it does have a bit of a learning curve vs. the Sanyo Katana 2. One of the selling features for me was the battery life. It does have 5.8 hours of battery life vs. the Katana which only has 3.5 hours. Everyone I have spoken to on it says that I am coming through very loud and a lot clearer than my Katana 2. It does however take quite a while to get it fully charged up for use. Maybe because of the longer battery life for talking. I really don't know I am not a cell phone expert. The best phone I ever had with Sanyo was the SCP-4900. Now that was a workhouse that I had for 4 years and it never failed me. Big and bulky? Yes. Dependable? You betcha ya. Big old candy bar it was. You could of dropped it out of a car doing a 100 mph and it would of still worked. No real good accessories out there for the SCP-3810 as yet because the phone has barely been on the market a month. I am willing to give it a trial run. And if I do not like it, I will return it and fire up my Katana 2 again. I rest my case.

Keep looking

I was trying to stay with a flip to replace my Samsung but this phone was not good. It has a good screen and navigation but poor signal, poor sound and an interference issue which I have never had before with any phone. Also it struggled with bluetooth and was erratic with Ford Sync. I took it back for a Samsung Exclaim which is excellent! I wanted to leave a review here because Sprint will not publish any negative reviews for the 3810 on its website. Reviews must be controlled by their marketing department!
