iPhone Replacement.....Need I say More?
HTC in my opinion is superior to most all other manufactures. Their hardware is strong and durable and will last a long time if properly cared for. I've owned many smartphones over the past few years and have always come back to HTC. Currently using Simple Mobile $40 Unlimited prepaid service with this DINC2 and haven't had any problems thus far.
Droid Incredible 2 PROS/CONS:
PROS:
Feels good in my hand and easy to navigate.
Display is crisp and clear and right size.
Touch response is quick.
Applications load fast.
Web pages load fast.
Camera takes great pictures.
Cons:
None that I can think of.
You won't be dissapointed if you purchase this one.
turn on problems
This is my first smart phone, and it has many very nice features.
But one problem I find is extremely frustrating. If the phone is turned off for more than 24 hours, it is almost impossible to turn it on again. The Verizon reps said I should "simply" remove the battery and reinsert it. To me that is most unacceptable. A second solution is to put the charger on, and that is also quite unacceptable. I need a global phone with GSM capabilities, but this phone frustrates me. Verizon seems unable to help. Perhaps someone else can. Or should I simply get another "global" type phone, and then which one?
Great phone- I absolutely love it!
this is an awesome phone! more than I expected it to be, Im finding new features each day!Havent tried the camera yet, as Ive only had this for under a week...but I'm already impressed! i MIGHT very well, get my son one for his birtday! :)
I also havent got to see how reception is yet, luckily I have another phone just in case!! :D hopefully wont have to find out!
PRO'S:
1. Big bright screen!
2. I luv the droid platform- I have owned droid 1 and 2, then Samsung fac.galaxy S... this puts them to shame. & i loved the samsung a lot! Was shocked to find better!
3. Runs very fast for 3g!
4. I would definitely reccomend!
5. feels solid- not too heavy or too light!
6. Has 16gb internal and 16gb memory card!
7. I could go on forever, but u get the idea
CON'S:
1. could be louder
Best Android phone for the non-poweruser
If you care about screen size, dual-core processing power then keep moving, there's nothing to see here.
If you're like me - want the utility of a smart phone in an attractive, solid package then STOP. You found your phone.
The screen is 4 inches - I was fine with 3.7 on the original predecessor, but this one is just great. The extra size is noticeable and very handy, but the phone remains compact enough to put in your pocket. The next step up to the 4.3 inch screens gives you a near-tablet that becomes a chore to haul around.
Reception is on a par with other phones I've owned - I work in a basement where the signal is spotty at best and the phone will still receive calls - at least enough for me to return the call from my landline. Like I said - like other phones I've owned. Outside this dungeon the signal is sufficient to give clear, flawless calls. I don't pay any attention to the signal meters - they're all relative - but the call quality has been crisp and clear.
3G data has been strong. I don't surf much, but apps I use that rely on data work well. I'm not a power user and don't have a need for 4G (yet!) so I don't miss it. I'm waiting on 4G until the phones get a little trimmer in size and a lot better on power consumption anyway.
Speaking of power consumption - I have docks at work and at home, which I love. Even off the dock the battery life is quite good (unless you're in a very weak signal area, in which case the phone will conk out very quickly as it struggles to hold the connection - but that's a universal truth).
I will always stick with Verizon Wireless - they are the best I've experienced. I went through their list of available phones today and this one still tops my list!
Best 3G phone on the market
Upgraded from the Incredible to the Incredible 2. Front facing camera works great for video chat and rear facing camera is the best I have seen on any phone. The only drawback was that the Incredible 2 didn't have Netfilx yet and that update came out yesterday. Would recommend this phone to anyone looking into smartphones. Very fast, responsive and Android is by far the best OS.
Best Phone I Have Ever Owned
I sell cell phones and have had about 10 devices in my possesion over time and this is by far the Best phone I have ever owned. I sell this device more than any other one due to the fact that I sell what works.
Pros
1. Front Facing Camera on a 3G Model.
2. Uses HTC Sense and HTC Widgets
3. Easy user interface (easily learnable)
4. Thin, light
5. Large crisp screen
Cons
1. 3G. Even though Verizons 4G network is not large I feel as though this could have been made 4G
2. As with any android, not as customizable without downloading third party applications
3. Again, with any android, battery life
4. Netflix on the Incredible 1 but not the incredible 2?
Still the best phone I ever have owned and im very happy with HTC.
