WOW!
All I can say is WOW! This is the best phone I have ever had. I work for a wireless company and we try out phone all the time. I've had every phone from Nokia, Motorola, Sony, NEC, Samsung.....and I can go on. I never thought I would have ever wanted to go to a blackberry. I got it as a gift and though...well I'll try it out for a minute and then I'll sell it or give it away but I'm glad I didn't. It's Awesome! The sound quality is excellent. The speed of the phone is also excellent. It picks up signal in places I couldn't pick up w/ my Sony Walkman W810. It's just a fantastic piece of equipment!

Really really good phone
I have used Nokia phones exclusively for the past 15 years-- but this is the best phone I have ever owned.
Pros:
Blackberry email works amazingly well-- I tried a few other services and nothing compares.
Functions really well as a phone. I thought I would have to accept a lesser phone quality-- but this phone holds a signal where my prior phones would drop the signal.
Form factor is great.
Flawlessly handles multiple applications being open at the same time and very easy switching between apps. The phone from another manufacturer I just returned constantly crashed under similar circumstances.
Address book is far and away better than any I have ever used.
Cons:
A little clumbsy to use Opera Mini browser with the trackwheel. By experimenting I determined you can use the "QW" and "OP" buttons for shortcuts. The browser itself works very well.
All in all, best phone I've ever had.
Finally found what i'm looking for!
I've been through more phones than a box of kleenex. I finally caved and got a blackberry. It is loaded and it is a good size. I'm sure i'll be learning for a long time.

doesn't seem as good of a phone as the 8700
not as loud as the 8700
bottom line: it is a great device, besides nothing's perfect. take a good look at this. I think it will be what you're looking for.
