Nokia N80
Average Ratings
Pleased, Not thrilled
I've had positive experiences with the N80 the entire time I've owned it (nearing a year), but am disgruntled that it shipped with Bluetooth 1.2 and not the original 2.0 spec.
The PC suite software is about on-par with Palm desktop. Great if you use it as a standalone, leaves things to be desired if you try and integrate it with other elements.
I use iSync on my MacBook to update contacts and Calendars with no trouble. EXTREMELY pleased with the WiFi chipset in this guy. The latest firmware update brought all models to the Internet edition level of software, which I truly appreciate.
The built-in browser is liveable, but I have enjoyed using Opera when I was using data heavily.
The MP3 functionality is a godsend when stuck with downtime and desiring something other than ringtones or silence. Screen is crisp, and the UI is wonderful to use, as is normal with my Nokia experience. SIDENOTE: I have small hands and have no troubles with the sliding function of the keypad, but hey, I got little hands. I wouldn't recommend this keypad for a 6'3" construction worker, but for me, it's great.
Perfect all-in-one
It has all the functions I need.
PROs:
+ The screen is gorgeous.
+ Very good camera.
+ Very good sounding mp3-player.
+ Very good video capability.
+ Possibility to have 2GB SDmini-card.
CONs:
- Battery time
Others:
* I DO miss the keyboard from my 6810.
* I don't have any problems with the slider, because I have a Krusell Multidapt-case.
* I do appreciate that it recognizes all my names in the addressbook, even if I have to pronounce them in some finnish-english style.
N Series best there's ever been .
There not much to say bad about this phone. But there are a few thing like the size and shape of the phone it is very cumbersome when using the keypad and with such a great web browser it king of difficult to type but other then that it is one of the best phones I ever had .
