E815 vs V710
Although I do not own a E815, I do have a V710 and a TREO 650 (Both are Verizon). I have played with he E815 and it is certainly a major improvement over the V710. The V710 and the E815 have the best reception and call clarity I have ever experienced. The TREO is awesome but just a notch below the Motos at the reception/clarity level. If MOto would improve the contacts logic then I would revert back solely to the Moto product rather than PDA phone.

E815
Overall phone is not up to par yet, slow operating system, problems with the get it know, vcast, web use by phone. Poor build quality, still bad charging set up. Camera ring around lens is crooked or bent or not attached straight. These are cons of phone so far. Pros are pretty good screen, on inside. Also being able to see what time on out side screen is good. But overall is just a poor copy of the v710 that they are trying to put evdo us on. Phone should have been tested longer and better than it was. But that is vzw fault and not motos. Since vzw messed with the software, and messed it up even worse by adding vcast on the ones with out it. Which is what mine has been so far for phones. So if you want a phone that works good know, with evdo/vcast get the lg 8000 or lg 8100. Are better quality phones.

Crappy Vibrate
Overall the phone isnt bad, but the fact that the vibration mode is useless just kills it for me. It also needs a better external display and less echoing.

815 Yeah! LG 8100 nay.
I loved the look and setup of the LG 8100 but call performance/signal drove me mad. Up and down volume in earpiece, lost calls, bad speakerphone, battery life nonexistant, camera was garbage indoors, and more. It had great potential and I miss vids as wallpaper (liked that a lot) and the way some menus were set up. But the 815 is not set up poorly..just different and still very usable.
E815 pros:
Impressive speakerphone
Great battery life
Sound pretty good and loud enough
Camera solid indoors/out/night
VCast quick
Signal very healthy
Earpiece much better than 8100
Overall great performance
E815 cons:
Doesn't seem crazy durrable but still feels not too bad
Vibration could be better but not as bad as some people make it seem
Earpiece loud but could use some more high end on it...kind of bass heavy
For more scoop read my review on the LG 8100 in the LG 8100 section.
I am much happy with my choice in the E815.

Could be the best phone ever.
I've had this phone for a couple weeks now and I want to marry it! There is very little this phone can't do and everthing it does, it does well. I'm particularly impressed with the voice recognition capability. A friend of mine actually sang the song "867-5309" into the phone and it recognized it! The camera is exceptional for a phone. VCAST is very cool for now, but at $15 a month I'm sure I'll tire of it quickly. 40 megs of onboard storage, upgradable to an additional 128 is outstanding. Voice clarity and speaker phone are both exceptional. It's an attractive phone while not on par with the RAZR, from a feature standpoint, this phone destroys the RAZR. The only con I can think of is that it's a little bulky. Not a phone you can comfortably carry in your pocket, though not huge either. The other only cons I can find with this phone are Verizon imposed. Limited bluetooth capability and the inability to transfer MP3s from the memory card to the phone memory to use them as ring tones are limitations Verizon made to the firmware of this phone. But that's what hacks are for :)
Bottom line: Nothing else touches this phone in terms of features and ability.

This Phone is GGGRRREATTTTTT!!!!!!!!
This is one cool phone. I was going to get the V710 but was told the E815 was taking its place. I am glad I waited and got the E815. This phone takes wireless to the next big level, what more can you ask for in a phone look the feel and the quality is a plus plus.
The only thing that I see a problem with is the Vibrate feature it is really really low.

Phone That Ive Been Waiting On.
This is simply the best song I have had ever. If you want a phone with nice looks, great reception, and tons of features this is the phone. Quality of the features are a plus also. Pick up the E815..its worth it !

Just not worth it...
Tried this phone for 2 weeks and realized it just wasn't worth the price of upgrading.
Pros:
-Decent reception
Cons:
-Very big phone
-Motorola user interface is clumsy
-Prone to resetting
Guess this one's going back to Verizon.

Canadian Buyers Beware!
Great phone if the features are available.
PROS:
Good screen, fun features
MP3 feature helpful if you take public transit like me, and can hear the calls come in.
Excellent battery life
CONS:
No bluetooth syncing features with computers if you have your phone from Bell Mobility.
Impossible to find transflash cards here in Canada in concrete stores (Believe me I've searched -ended going across the border to get it)
As a result if you are a Canadian resident be prepared to shell out some extra dough to get what it is advertised to do as an "MP3 Phone"
If you have the phone from Bell Mobility, you'll have to buy the Data Cable plus either order directly from Motorola the transflash cards or go across the border to get it. If you choose not to get the Data Cable you'll need a card reader.
