BAD keyboard
I do not own this phone, but after trying it for 30 minutes at a computer fair where some one sold it, i do not want to own this phone. The keyboard is really really bad - it has no or very little tactile feedback. It is not good to type at.
Another bad thing is that to start the back light, you have to navigate through the menu for 3-5 steps (the sales rep did this for me). It was hard to see what to do with no back light.
Navigating was not as good as i wanted, but i guess one has to read the manual to get the most out of it.
The camera part worked nicely, i did 2 shots, one against some big windows, north wards, so not directly into the sun, and it was kind of grayish out side. The other picture was the opposite direction, into the fair. Both pictures seemed good at the screen.
When i put my own sim card into the phone, it worked nicely, however i only tried using it as a normal phone, no BlueTooth or headset. Despite being at a computer fair with quite a bit of noise i could easily call my friend who was also at this fair.
Con:
really bad keyboard
No (known) button to turn on back light.
Siemens SX66 LCD Cracked - NOT WARRANTY
I've had my Siemens SX66 since August 2005 (this is December 2005). The LCD on my PDA phone cracked after just 35 days of use. NO, I didn't drop it or step on it. I Don't know how or why it cracked. The only thing I can think of is I may have had it on my hip in the leather holster that comes with it and leaned against something.
CRACKED LCD IS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY.
It cost me $175 to send to Siemens to have LCD replaced.
I still love the phone. I just recommend you buy the aluminum protective case for it, rather than using the leather holster provided.
