SLEEK AND CHIC
I got my 8700 1 week ago after reading all your comments. My previous phone was a 7000 so this phone definitely has more style to it. So far I am enjoying it. Its nice to look at and is comfortable in hand. I like the pouch. Main screen is clear with large #'s. Speaker phone has been ok for me since the 7000 did not have one. Biggest issue I have right now is pairing Bluetooth with my car Bluetooth (Acura) I called Acura and they said it will take them about 6 weeks to test the 8700 to see if its compatible. Otherwise I am a happy camper.

Battery charging port is awkward. Which way does that door open? Hoping that it will pair with my car Bluetooth

I have had so many phones over the years and this is FINALLY an amazing cell phone. From the amazingly vivid screen to the sleek shiny design this phone delivers. I have no cons and am just thrilled with it.

Slim, Sleek, Swave!
I recently purchased the VX8700, upon debabting between it and the Maxx. I picked up the Maxx and it had the exact same operating system as all the older phones. i was looking for something new.
The 8700 had two display themes. both of which are an upgrade from previous. i am very pleased with the LG. i have always owned LG's and never had a problem i previously own the VX7000. and loved it.
i recommend this phone over and other phone thats out right now. its heavy weight so it doesnt feel like its going to snap in my pocket. the case is very nice. the stainless steel. well that just says it. very nice LCD screen.
The camera is very nice i compared it to the Maxx, and its superior.

The LG VX-8700 is my second cell phone from verizon wireless and the phone is simply amazing!!! I used my NewEveryTwo credit towards the purchase of this phone after using the Samsung A-890 for two years. The brushed metal and slim design make this phone one of the hottest on the market!!! The picture/color is brilliant and the operating system is smooth!!! Mobile Web and GetItNow looks great on this phone and is very fast. Keypad is excellent and very easy to use. My favorite included accessory is the felt/fabric pouch which protects the phone while not in use and for everyday travel (I am not a fan of holsters or ugly verizon leather cases). Metal is definitely better than plastic, and provides a very sturdy feel for such a slim/sleek design!!! This phone will not disappoint, unless you have a lack in style or taste!!!
Extremely satisfied
My boyfriend surprised me and got me this phone. Wow! I am very impressed with this phone. I had the chocolate before and I liked it but this one is a very sharp upgrade.

Prety damn nice
i just got verizon for the second time, i just previous had nextel the worst company on earth. i have to say that the fone is really sleek and interesting looking. the front screen is different and i like how it has no music controls from the outside. the only thing i didnt like was that when texting u want to use the right key to select the next letter and u might acidently hit ok and send that text message uncomplete.

Dpad is not spread out enough
speaker sounds crappy when turned on high setting
u have to have a still hand for the pictures to come out good
no flash
overall is a nice fone if u not too much of a music person, text a couple times a day at max and like to stand out, also have a sturdy fone
A very slick phone from LG
I've had this phone for a couple of weeks, and it is a very slick phone. It has excellent reception and is very stylish. I've received a lot of compliments on it as well.
The only two cons I have are the micro SD slot under the battery and the flimsy door covering the charging port. Some people complain about the speaker phone only being usable during calls, but that doesn't bother me at all.
Overall, I'm glad I got this phone. I have had LG phones for almost two years now (VX8100/8300) and they seem to be a good mix of both style and substance.
