Was great.... In the beginning

This phone was amazing in the beginning. It did everything that I needed it to with the push for MSN and has excellent internet.

I have had the phone for about 6 monthes and it has only gone down hill. I am no stranger to windows mobile. However this phone freezes even when taking all the precautions that you do with windows mobile. I have to recalibrate my touch screen probably once a week because it changes.

After a month of us my internet stopped working, I was not able to access the internet in anyway without first restarting the phone. That means the push for microsoft I enjoyed was gone, the sprint pocket express did not work.

My phone chooses when I am allowed to look at my text messages. I have to touch icon, then manually access the program the back way and sometimes neither works, so that would be another reset.

The phone was a joke, everytime I recieved a phone call and the phone was on vibrate it would then freeze. If the phone was on ringer it would sometimes ring.

Touch HTC

After switching to the Touch from the Fusic, I wish I stayed with my other phone. All of the features are great, it acts like a desktop computer, et, locks up and have to reboot, opens ups different screens while on the phone. The one feature that the phone is missing is the capability to send pictures in a text message, it will only allow you to send it through an e-mail.

this phone has it all, great battery life and crisp clear screen and non of the CINGULAR hassels! I got this though Alltel and the phone is AWSOME... wouldn't trade for a iPhone ever!

Pros.
-good sound, nice and loud ringer and the playback is great
-the "Touch-Flo" works great
-over all every other function is great

Cons.
-downloading 3rd party items can be a hassle
-camera , you have to be taking pic of "non" moving objects ,otherwise it a blur

GREAT PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After using this phone for about a week I have to say overall I'm not very impressed. I've had several Smartphones and Pocket pc's and haven't ever really been this dissapointed. The overall concept of this phone is great. First thing first, this is not a rival to the iphone. I find myself having to use the stylus more than I want to. Below is a list of my pros and cons;

Pros:

1. Form factor. The phone is nice and fits in my hand well.

2. Call quality; When I have good reception the call is clear with no real problems.

3. Massive amounts of software available.

Cons:

1. I don't find the touch screen to be all that responsive. I am finding myself having to push real hard to make my selection. I also end up having to use my stylus too much

2. Battery life is HORRRRRRRIBLE. Light use my battery is dead by the end of the day after charging all night.

That's all I really have. I would not recommend this phone

VX6900 - Great Phone. Puts the FUN back in FUNctionality!

I have patiently waited for this phone since it's announcement last year. I have owned it for about a week now. Here are my initial thoughts:

Pros:
- Great size/weight. Works for me even though I have large hands.

- Home Screen. Very attractive. I especially enjoy the weather feature.

- Going through the various applications are very swift.

- 2.0 mega-pixel camera takes great photos. Also has a slide show feature which is similar to the iphone. Very nice.

- Speakerphone. It exceeded my expectations. Very clear.

- White phone. I did not think that I would like it at first but it separates itself from other phones on the market. It definitely gets attention.

Cons:
- Keyboard is not very effective. However, I downloaded the SPB Keyboard through handango.com and it works very well!

- The physical shell of the phone is somewhat slippery. I wish it had a more textured back like the Sprint Touch. However, this is easily remedied with a good phone case.

- Using the touch flo to find a name in the 'Contacts' feature moves a bit too quickly (like a slot machine). I think it takes some getting used to.

- Stylus - Too small for guys with large hands like myself. However, with the touch flo technology, the stylus is not really needed.

- Battery Life. It is just OK. I think the heavier internet and bluetooth users should get the longer life battery.

- Accessories. For the price, I think that it should have come with a few more accessories including a better phone case (instead of this substandard pouch), a memory card, and a screen cover.

All in all, this is a really good phone. Great for keeping organized with day to day appointments but also has a fun side with the camera and other accessories. Good job Verizon!

I like my Verizon Touch XV6900!

Sleek phone and the white color is striking. Standard battery is only 1100 mAh but I got the Seidio 1500 mAh battery and have to see how many days it lasts. I don't have a data connection, so I hook up to the Sync cable once or twice a day to update some programs, (like Fizz Traveller) and that charges it so its hard to tell. I like the Windows Mobile implementation. Phone quality is quite good, speakerphone is reasonable, a bit on the tinny side. Wish they had stereo speakers. Bluetooth functionality was fine both with my car BT audio, and a Plantronics headset.

I've covered the screen with a Clarivue screen protector, and am using the pouch case that came with it...works fine for me.

GPS with VZ Navigator is sorely missed right now, but Verizon has promised that program will run on some Win Mob phones by the end of April, hope the xv6900 is one of them; if not it will, within a few months. VZ wants all its phones to run VZ Nav.

The phone's a keeper.

Not bad for a first attempt

I bought the Alltel version to replace my PPC6800/Mogul. The phone itself is a great design. It feels wonderful in the hand (even for people like me with huge hands), and the screen is actually a bit better than the 6800. The "touch-flo" is nifty and fun to operate.
My gripe (and reason it lasted a VERY short time with me) with this piece: The touch has more RAM than the 6800, so I figured internet browsing and general app load time would be vastly improved ... wrong. The PIE suffered from nasty lag and I'm on the net with my phones a lot. It's my guess that the touch's extra RAM is used to constantly run the touch-flo in the background, and this limits the browser's scroll speed, etc.
Though the packaging is AWESOME, the fact that it includes headphone adapters for the mini usb port, and that it feels sexy in the hand, I can honestly say for my needs the 6800 is still the way to go.
