Good phone so far
So far it's a good phone. I work for a retailer so I got a nice discount for it, and upgraded from the A460. I like the phone alot, the only problem is I don't know how to set up the picture as the caller ID and thats upsetting. I have the camera and everything, but it's just not working. Oh well. If anyone has any idea please e-mail me.
decent phone, poor service
With the choices currently available from Sprint, I chose the N400 as a compromise in features. The speaker phone is important to me so I bought it over the 500 or LG. The reception is about the same as my old 3500, or maybe it bit less. One thing that worries me is that it gets warm as you talk, something I haven't seen since the analog days. Also, I have tried three times unsuccessfully to get my new plan (vision) activated. Every time I call sprint customer no service, they tell me I haven't signed up for the plan (I did), but they will take care of it; so far I'm still not on. Simply put, Sprint customer service is terrible. But I do like their plans and service, so I'm stuck. If I'm not happy by the end of this second day of trying, I give up and try elsewhere. I'm in business, and I'll never understand why others manage their businesses so poorly.

Flip part of phone houses wires to transmit sound. I have had two of these phones. The wires break after less than 8-10 months of use. Sprint will not cover this under their repairs. They state it is due to usage. I can't afford $150 every 8 months. Also it does freeze and you need to remove the battery to use it again. Frequently "drops calls".

believe me, DON'T GIT THIS PHONE! and if you have it, try to git rid out it ASAP! ok first of all, I've had this phone for about 2 years. this is my second N-400 because the first was defective, and the one i have now is ALSO defective. I have updated the firmware and also I have asked to run a screen test on my phone (I did this twice, both the first N-400 i had, and now this one). my first N-400 had problems such as: bad reception, dropped calls, the 4-way navigation joystick doesn't work, the joystick chipped easily, and while I'm looking for a phone number it takes me back to the normal screen (when this happens, it doesn't happen one time; it happens like 4 times in a row, seriously).
The second/current N-400 i have is also defective. It shares some problems as the first but adds a few more. The people who think that Sprint service is bad, let me tell you that my family has the same service , but none have the same service problems i have had. Anyways, the other problems i have had that also are adding from the first N-400 are: missed calls aren't shown when someone has called me, will power off in middle of phone call, will power off in random times, i dial a phone number and it says, "Connecting" but will not process the call until you turn off the phone and then turn it on again, and also beware of the phone freezing. NO BUTTONS WILL WORK (including power button) WHEN THE PHONE IS FROZEN. you must manually take out the battery and put it back into the phone and problem is temporarily solved. also, THE SPEAKERPHONE ON THIS PHONE IS STRANGE! in the middle of a call, the speaker phone will randomly activate and then everyone can hear the call. very strange. once that happens, you not be able to turn off the speaker phone.
all and all, NOT A GOOD PHONE.the only reason I still have the phone is because the next phone I want is the Samsun A680! it hasn't come out yet so I'm stuck with a phone that is a better watch than a cellphone.

I am only 14, so i only use this for chating and msg-ing and all that......
but i love it for were I'm at good reception and i love the speaker phone and the web is OK.. (good for me tho...) i got a cam for 9.99 and it works sweet nice pic's and every thing the screen is nice i think and the bat. isn't as long but ok with me since im not out that much

Disadvantages
Its not a good phone thats y I'm on this website. My phone can't handle all the information or Sprint can't handle all the information that the phone is always freezing up. When u want to make a call the phone freezes. I when to Sprint to change the phone and the change for me the next business day, that was the only good part. But, the phone is a piece a junk or its Sprint. I seen people to in certain place where I was unable to talk at. I think its just Sprint period.
Don't buy this phone.
Advantages:
Speaker phone is great. The screen is big. The number light up in neon blue and other cool features.
