BlackBerry Curve 8330

Sprint 8330 Blackberry Curve
My first Blackberry and I really like it. It is the perfect combination of a Palm phone and Pocket PC phone in my opinion. With Sprint, the signal is just as good as my best Sprint phones have been. The web based applications work really well in low signal areas, just a little slower but on other phones I haven't been able to get web apps to even work. Call quality is great. The web browser has been getting bashed I thought it was awesome! YouTube works, the browsing blows away anything I have used up to this point besides an iPhone. I use and setup every kind of Pocket PC device and Palm device on a daily basis and I just can't say enough about this particular Blackberry. I didn't like the little thumb ball you move around the device with at first but after a few days you wonder how you lived without it. It is fully adjustable as well so you can adjust it for a light or heavy touch. It really feels weird when I get back to work on a Monday and have to click buttons to move everywhere again on my HTC S621 work phone.
PROS:
- Really good battery life when compared to the other PDA style phones.
- You can adjust and modify just about anything on this phone.
- Web support is unbelievable, so many users out there have really paved the way for the newbies trying to learn how to use these devices.
- Tons of software and accessories for these phones.
- Great voice dial like the Motorola phones have, just push and go, works for anyone who uses the phone, no setup required and it works over the bluetooth as well. example: call Jim Smith home, call Jim Smith mobile.
- Email is just way to simple! I wasn't even going to use this feature and I use it non stop now.
- Great connection software for the computer, add music, movies, files, sync etc...
- Great cam and video
CONS:
- Ringer is not loud enough for me. It is better than most but not like the HTC phones for example.
- No picture mail but, you can get around this using the email address of the phone.
One of the best BB's I've owned!
Got this phone when it first came out with Verizon and was immediately in love with the phone. It works great, and it is fast. The browser also performs awesomely. Facebook displays in an app where you can chat, and post statuses. Has an awesome keyboard that I love so much. It isn't too cramped, and its not to small and it isnt too big. The phone has video playback, 2.0 i think camera, and millions of apps. buy it any day and you will not be dissappointed unless the phone you receive has technical difficulties.
WOW
I had to give it to these people at RIM they know what's up and they give you just enough to get by. I mean this phone works on all levels none the less but you have to be techie to really appreciate it. When owning this devise one has to clear memory every other day since they didn't put enough memory in it so delete the 1000 text you got, clear the cache every day, try not to link your Facebook to contacts since people change there profile pics almost every day
Boost Mobile's 8330 Curve is the best Curve of all!
What a phone this is! I'm no stranger to BlackBerry phones. I've had the Storm, 8310, 8320, 8330 (Both Verizon and Sprint), and many others. The Boost BlackBerry Curve 8330 rocks!
Cons:
A tad slow, but that's my doing. I always forget to close programs.
Some programs (messengers, Facebook, etc....) Were not pre-installed.
Pros:
Has 5.0, software, instead of 4.
Great camera.
Solid reception on Boost.
Was $149, and comes with memory card, pouch, etc...
In conclusion: They say that a newer model is on its way; but if this isn't broken, why fix it?! I'd recommend this phone to anyone, especially while the Shack still has it on sale....
Boost Mobile BB Curve 8330
I got this phone after having a few phones with T-Mobile. I must say that I now understand the term "crackberry" because I'm addicted to my phone!
PROS
-Being able to check up to 10 email accounts
-Apps like Facebook and Myspace
-Texting is so easy (great keyboard)
CONS
-The only con I haven't been able to figure out how to add a signature to my text. I don't think Boost allows it.
In general I love my phone and will probably always buy Blackberry phones from here on out.
US Cellular Blackberry Curve 8330
I switched from the HTC touch pro II due to its issues and a smart phone seemed like it would be better for work. Now,after almost 2 months I'm looking for another phone :(

-full qwerty + add symbols easily
-lots of alarms!
Con's:
-yahoo im spontaneously kicks me off
-sends duplicate txts
-sluggish when opening your txts, notification that they are sent, or returning to main screen from txts
-turns off by itself then takes 10 min to turn back on???
-takes forever when tryin to get media of any kind from your memory card
-takes forever to send any kind of media no matter if its to email, other phone, uploading pics to facebook, myspace, etc.
-browsing is slow
-calls drop/static
-phone sometimes doesnt ring when people are calling and goes straight to v-mail
-sometimes cant open yahoo messages when im'ed

Very disappointed in this phone. If LG could make one with everything this one offers but without the issues, it would be one awesome phone!
How many phones can you guess have sold as many as this one?
For the most part this is an exellent phone for the general public. What a lot of people haven't realized is that this is an older phone and if you don't continuously sync it with the blackberry desktop device manager, you're going to have issues with the phone. This is also why carriers require data plans, if the phone cannot update properly, you will have issues with it such as call logs clearing, etc. because the phone doesn't update properly. I currently work for AT&T and have Verizon and I can promise you that this will be the only phone that has had continuous sales since '07. Now I've personally had mine for 2 years and its still going strong. If you take care of this phone, its amazing.
Haven't found a better one yet
I own my own business and practically run it from my phone (Curve 8330). I've had plenty of cell phones in the past but nothing compares to the things Blackberry can do...especially for someone like me who has a business.
Pros:
-Email accounts are top notch - ability to manage multiple accts
-battery life
-quick access to web (Verizon)
-cut, copy and paste capabilities
-calendar
-ability to set the sensitivity of the trackball
-ability to personalize just about everything on the phone to do what you need it to do
Cons:
Not really any...but the camera quality could be a little better
In my experience make sure you have the right version on this phone...if you don't have 4.5.0.138 this phone will not perform like it is capable...when I upgraded my phone to this version, it was night and day. No more freezing up!
Overall great phone especially for managing multiple email accts.
