LOVE THIS PHONE!!!
Yesterday i went into verizon to return my 4th 2nd generation chocolate because of technical difficulties, they upgraded me to the 3rd generation chocolate. It is the best phone i have ever owned. The only thing i dont like about it is it is a little slow sometimes, but other than that it is great! I really like the ringtones it came with, with any other phone i would have already bought some now ringtones but i'm actually using the ones that came with it. The speaker is really really loud compared to any other phone, which is a good thing, and the vibrate isnt loud, which is good for when your in school. I would recommend this phone to anyone.
Super Phone - texting problem?
Well, in comparison to the previous LG line of phones the whole UI is a huge improvement, as well as the capabilities of this device. I was truly happy with this device.
I am a heavy texter, and several hundred a day are not uncommon. I started to notice at time i would get several text in a row at once. I started looking at the time stamp on the message, and they would show messages that should have been delivered to my phone up to 10 minutes in the past. this appeared to be a random thing, but happened frequently. when i went to my account online and looked at the data there for my text messages for a specific time where i was getting a delay, they showed the time i actually were received to my phone, despite what the actual time stamp on the text message said. I live in a major metropolitan area, and it is rare that i go under 2 bars of signal on both bands, so signal strength, and maintaining a connection is not an issue. I filed a detailed report with CS with times that this was happening. A week later i got an answer which basically stated that the network engineers said that if i was in a structure i could experience delayed messaging. HORSE PUCKY! So, i asked for a supervisor, and We agreed to another Chocolate 3 ( my actual 3rd one. the first went back due to constantly failed sending of text messages ). Activated the new one i got last night, and guess what happened? Text message delays again DUH! i calmly called, and got the answer that i am in a know problem area; at least with the C3. None my other phones did this b4. I wanted to post this to see if anyone else experienced this issue, and if so will provide my ticket number to them for reference so VZW don't give them the run around.
Personally i believe there is a connectivity issue, most likely software related with this device
Disappointed
I have a v9m, v3m and the Chocolate 3. The Chocolate 3 is the only one that actually drops calls. I was in Sam's wholesale club where I always have a week signal, went to make a call and as soon as call connected it beeped and said "call was lost". Standing in the same spot I called back on my v9m and had the conversation without even breaking up. Checking signal strength the v9m had 2 bars and Chocolate was searching for signal.
Pros: has options other than Verizon UI. Good speaker quality talking and receiving. Lightweight. Good battery life(definitely better than the Motorolas). Great audio quality on music player.
Cons: Poor reception(#1 complaint), Shiny plastic finish(afraid of scratching).
All in all very nice phone but not if in a poor reception area.
AMAZING PHONE!!!! BUY THIS ONE!
i have had this phone for 3 days now and I have not found a single thing wrong with it. the texting is great, battery life is out of this world and the speeds and voice clarity and top notch. I love the large displays on front and inside of phone, makes it very easy to see an incoming call or text.
This phone is very loud so for those of you who complain about silent phones this one is for you. I can hear the ringer on low volume inside my pocket while in a crowded shopping mall.
Pros:
Battery Life
Design
Call quality
Signal quality
Keypad
Volume
3g speeds
VCAST
Navigation
Email
Ease of use
durability
Screen and text size
Cons:
only one is that it is a finger print magnet, but that should never be a reason to not buy a quality phone such as this.
Overall I love this phone and I will keep it for a long time.
