Pros:
beautiful screen
nice camera
good keyboard
Htc Sense (when it stops freezing up)
loud speaker
Cons:
The problem i find with this phone is that it is confused on whether it wants to run W.M. or htc sense. The two CONSTANTLY clash and cause the phone to freeze, which then requires a battery pull.

The shortcuts between sense and Wm are ridiculous, none of them go together properly.

The power button is frustrating when you are texting on the keyboard. If you move wrong, there goes your text. thanks.

The task manager isn't in the corner (where it should be, and may i add, where there is room for it. windows mobile 6.5 decided to just leave that space blank and force you to try and find the task manager on your own through the shitbox of htc sense/windows mobile rubbish.)

The processor.. thanks for this fantastic Ferrari with the 2 stroke engine in it!"

some third party apps are required to get around the stupid "features," of the phone. some of these features include, the clock which when you turn the phone on, sets itself 1 hr & 2 mins behind current time, and if you have 2 programs running it is a choppy animation which causes the phone to run slower. Another feature is when the "New Message" icon on the sense UI bar doesn't go away, no matter what you do.

The battery, rubbish.

Browser is painfully slow, and usually doesn't respond to anything else but a stylus, and some of the time, that doesn't work unless it's zoomed in 700x.

The windows mobile contact program doesn't recognize sim card contacts.. so it basically says you have contacts when you run it, so it is impossible to search through them to find somebody.

Sometimes when you open the phone, it decides by itself it wants to open the camera/browser/phonepad/sms. (it's moody)

windows mobile marketplace.. lol

The cons make me think that HTC and Windows Mobile don't test any of their products before they put them for sale. For day to day use, this phone is incredibly frustrating.

Still has too many bugs. Without using it, battery drains fast. Mine goes from 100% to 50% in about 3 hours of doing nothing but sitting on my desk, there were no calls, web browsing or texting at all. Touch screen is a pain. Navigation is bad. If you don't go to a certain icon on a regular basis, you will be searching for a long time trying to find where you were before. First day had to take it back to the store because internet explorer wasn't working. This is the 4th day and I'm going to have to take it back again due to the email sending words and symbols and nobody can understand the texts that I send from this phone. NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL!!!!! Hope they are willing to take it back and give me a different one. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Software stinks

Sep 27, 2009 by cantolino

I bought the phone the day it came out. I fist spent a few days trying to load programs. I have had almost every phone including the apple and think Microsoft did a bad job. The phone is very slow. It some times takes 3 to 4 sec to respond after I push a button. Currently the phone will not startup at all. I have tried to reboot but no luck. I tried the reset no luck. I have spent hours and this phone is just a phone. It is not good at anything. If you are computer geek maybe it is it. I run a very large company and this is not a good phone for me at all.

Pro:
The key board is nice.

Cons:
When you hold the phone you keep turning off the screen. Button should have been on the top. Software slows the phone down. I think if it had android it would be a good phone. The Microsoft execs need to find some better programmers with a complete solution not this crap. With all there money history and background I would expect a much better system. It as if Bill is coasting and nobody seems to know how to connect all the software together. Palm did it. Android did it. Where did Bill go? It is to bad because they have had every opportunity and never seem to do it. I could make a software package solution that is better for much less then they could.
Anyway the phone is crap. I suggest waiting for something else.

Very Good but not great

I just got the phone 2 days ago coming from a Samsung sch-i760. The screen is much better than my old phone. You can actually see it in daylight! Haven't decided whether to take it back and wait for the Motorola Sholes or Storm 2!

PROS:
The touch technology is much better than any of the other verizon smartphones. Web browsing is awesome. Call quality is excellent. The keyboard is fantastic. There is much to like on this phone. The dual charger with the car charger attached to the wall charger is really cool!

CONS:
A few things are strange;
1. when you listen to your visual voicemail you cannot listen through bluetooth headset. Why this would happen is beyond me!
2. If you want to look at a contact, you press and it calls the person immediately! No choice to maneuver to choose different numbers for the same person
3. Battery life is not great. I am on 50% by 11AM! as of yet there is no extended battery, but Verizon says it is coming soon This phone really needs it!
4. The send and end keys are small and the placement is wierd.
5. Text on home screen and other screens could be a little bigger and bolder; There is no way to adjust it.
6. wireless sync not on the device!!!!!!
