P.O.S.
While this phone was free, I do very much believe this is the worst cell phone I have ever had. ENough.
HORRIBLE... PIECE OF CRAP
horrible phone do not buy piece of crap drops calls, scratches easily, crap, crap, crap
CRAP!!!!!!
Buyer beware
This phone sucks a big, fat, purple....... well YOU fill in the blank
I can find nothing good to say about this phone. The reception, which I would think would be the most important factor in a mobile phone, is horrible. Unless you are 'in town' and don't really ever go anywhere, you might get one bar if you're lucky. In fact, I was recently IN a Cingular store and the salesman informed me that every single phone in there outperforms the T226. As soon as I am able to upgrade, I will be ditching this phone and switching to a Motorola or Samsung. Remember, free isn't always better. Do your research!
Pretty Middle of the Road
A month or so ago I got this phone as a replacement for my Motorola C331g that I lost in May. My choices were limited to about 3 comparable models, so I chose this one since it had a color screen and polyphonic ring tones, which my other phone did not have. So here's the pros and cons...
Pros:
Lightweight
Loud rings
Decent ring tones, but if you have the wireless Internet you may download free ring tones and graphics from the Sony Ericsson website
Picture ID-I used pictures I uploaded onto the SE website, then had them sent to my phone
Alarm goes off when your phone is off
Good battery life
Internal antenna (good thing for me because I had a tendency to play with my antenna on my other phone)
Cons:
Buttons are way too small and I find myself accidentally pressing others which from time to time is quite a hassle
Color display does not have very good resolution, the pictures I uploaded are blurry and blotchy on the phone
only silent or ring modes, though it will vibrate a few times before it rings when not on silent, no vibe/ring setting
Not very durable (dropped it a few times, back cover and battery fell off
Generally speaking, this phone is just way too small for my tastes, but if you are in the market for a decent and affordable phone, this will be the one for you.
