LG VX-5300 / UX-245 / AX-245
Average Ratings
Ok phone, bad carrier
This is an average phone that could have a lot of potential, but it is suppressed by being carried by Verizon.
Pros:
pretty small
good voice quality
loud earpiece volume
cons:
Its a Verizon phone which means crappy reception, even crappier customer service and the terrible verizon ui that cripples half of the phone's features and customizability.
As I mention before Verizon's signal is terrible (My cingular buddies always get reception where I don't and always have full signal where I get one bar)
MP3 ringtones are too quiet
as mentioned by someone else When the phone is done charging, the external screen stays lit until you push end. I have only had this phone for couple of months and this has already cause the words "Charge complete" to burn into the front display
Like I said, it is a good phone, but Verizon does a good job of crippling it.
ALMOST BUT IT FALLS SHORT
I bought this phone and used it for less than a week.
PROS: Good reception
CONS: Everything else. It is too heavy and bulky for a basic phone. The camera is poor, it is only VGA. The screen is too small, only 128x160 pixels, and worst of all, thescreen is unusable because, in addition to the small size, the resolution is exptremely poor, so I cannot even read it. If you cannot read the screen, the phone is owrthless. I had to upgrade to the LG VX-8300.
