Disappointed again
Okay LG does it again, They make a great Mp3 Player but horrible phone.

Phone part is crap! No reception, have to use it out side. Drop calls all the time, static, feel like the Verizon commercial can you hear me now?..lol... Oh Can't stand the 3 second pause that LG's have when you answer a call, you say hello then have to say it again.
So my conclusion LG needs to make Mp3 players and stop trying with the phones. :-(

Its Never Perfect
Hi, I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents on this phone. I've been with Sprint for a long time now....I have stuck with Sanyo until now due to signal strength capability.
I was looking at two phones. The LG 570 and the Sanyo 7050. My main deal is can I make a call! The camera, MP3, Vision are cool but not required.
If the 7050 had a camera and EVDO I'd be using that one.
Anyway, the LG:
Pros: Signal Strength is excellent,Great Looks, Excellent Keypad, Camera descent, Tunes-a fun addition.
Cons: FM transmitter is so far a joke. I'm in the S.F. Bay area and I needed to slide part of the phone into the cassette deck to get close enough to the radio for it to "kinda" work. A great idea if it worked.
Fullscreen as noted in PScoops review is poor, and the phone seems to get a little warm during vision use.
Speakerphone is OK on a low setting. More than 2 and it is tinny to me. Music does better with a lower setting as well.
Overall, after 3 days, I find the phone to be a lot of fun, and it gets the job done.
Lastly, remember, that if you don't get the service you want from your mobile carrier, file a complaint with your State Public Utility Commission. It speeds things up nicely.
Fusic 2007
I've played around with the Musiq for about an hour or so, and it's actually a very nice phone.
The screen isn't nearly as bad as the reviewers were saying, it looks about like the Samsung M510's screen...the default themes make it look blocky though.
The FM transmitter is better than the Fusic, able to get about 15-20ft range from a decent radio.
The camera is pretty decent, with a bright flash and good overall picture quality.
It's much thinner than the Fusic, with an updated look, but keeps all the features, adding a larger display, better bluetooth, better FM transmitter, and vibration feedback for the outer keys.
I'm still debating whether I should get it or the M510 though, as they are similar in features, but the M510's housing is more scratch resistant (in black), but without the media keys.
Above average.... a little...
Picked the phone up today.
I like the overall size. It's wider and thinner than the Fusic but overall a little bigger.
Reception is just average where my Sanyo phones have full signal.
Ear piece volume is not nearly loud enough even on the highest settings.
Speaker phone is fair.
Stereo sound from the speaker while listening to music is not good.
I'm basing this entire review in comparison to my beloved MM5600.
The UI I don't think is as bad as previous review said but you do have to have the appropriate theme selected to make the animated look a bit more palletable.
Personally, I think that the UI is much slower than it should be. It doesn't really lag but it doesn't SNAP either. For a "high end" phone this shouldn't be a question.
Power Vision is potent and fast. Easily seen and functional on the beautiful, large screen.
Have a microfiber cloth with you at all times. This thing is a finger print/smudge magnet.
Picture quality is decent with the 1.3mp camera. The flash is modestly helpful inside of 4 feet. Otherwise ineffective.
Call quality was fair when signal strength was ample. The single opening for the ear piece forced out very tinny sound.
My 5600 has been my love for the last 2 years and I think I'm going to take this phone back and stick with my 5600 til SANYO puts out another limited edition phone that compares.
My biggest peeve with the Muziq is the custom alarms. If the phone is off the alarms don't work. This is a must for me since I use my phone as my morning alarm and my alarm for other daily situations. When the phone doesn't work inside I want to have it off and know that when I have an alarm set the phone will power on and the alarm will go of. Not happening here.
I'll be taking mine back tomorrow. But this review isn't about a bad phone or poor features. It's quite stacked. It's just not exactly what I need or want in a phone at this time.

Trying to like it....
I have just switched to this phone from the Motorola Q, and I have a few issues in mind.
Firstly, the owner's...um, pamphlet that came with this phone was not much more than a sad little scrap of paper.
I wouldn't really call it a manual at all.
Second, Memory.
Within 12 hours of use, a 1gb MicroSD ram card I had used with no trouble for 6 months on another handset, died with a horrible I/O error, and the card was rendered useless.
I will reserve my suspicions.
The default 64mb card that came with the phone still works. 64mb? They still make them? Come on.
Third, Speed Dial.
I have, for example two numbers on my contact list entry for my wife, one each for her cell and office numbers.
Using speed-dial I can ONLY use the first number under her name for speed-dial number. It cannot be edited.
Why? I don't know. Another annoyance.
Finally, Sound.
The sound quality on the phone is actually quite poor, moreso in a loud environment.
I simply cannot hear people.
For a phone that highlights MUSIC you'd think sound quality would have been a priority, but I did find the sound on the Motorola Q much better.
-And that's saying a lot.
On the upside, the FM Transmitter and the music player software work fine.
Bottom line:
The phone looks nice, but LG did cut corners where possible, and it shows when you start using the phone.
If you're considering the purchase of this phone, I'd recommend you also browse some Samsung phones while you're looking.
too much
when a phone has too much functions or when manufacture try to cramp too much feature or functions into a phone then the basic function of the phone suffers as a communications tool.
had the phone for about three weeks and will be returning for a different phone. the reception is weak, it sounded like every converstaion is puzzle because there will be broken up words or sentence. never has any of the issues with the sanyo phone, same place through out different time of the day same result for both phone in comparison.
i understand the muziq is another phone that simply trying to compete in the wireless market but i think designer should real build from the basics which is the phone should function well in making and maintaining calls with clarity.
the muziq fails with that basic premise and its nice to have other features but that is secondary when there is other gagits out there that are dedicated to the other functions.
i'm critical with the rating because it failed to serve its main and primary function as a wireless phone.
not up to par
after all the positive reviews here, i had high hopes for this phone, had this phone for about two weeks now.
been using the sanyo m8300 and time for an upgrade and was down to katana dlx or this phone and choose the muziq over the katana dlx because of the full duplex speaker phone and some of the other features.
the phone feels flimsy compared to the sanyo and the speaker phone sucks c**k and thats an understatement.
the reception was not all that great compare to the sanyo. will be returning this phone for the katana dlx
Close but no cigar LG
After owning a Samsung A800 for the past 2 years, I decided to throw away the trusty slider and jump back onto the flip phone bandwagon I was on for four years prior to my slider. (8100 and a VX5550) I had done a lot of research prior to going into my sprint store, and decided on the Sanyo 7050. However, the mail in rebate that was there three days prior was gone, and I no longer wanted it. So it was time to decide on a new phone. I played around with the Katana DLX for a while, and i liked it, and then asked the sales associate to bring out the Muziq for me to play with for a while, and for some reason, knowing that this wouldn't be the phone I wanted, i bought it then and there.
PROS
-Very Large internal screen
-Nice external screen
-Speaker is decent quality wise
-Camera isn't bad
Cons
-Call Quality is poor, peaks out eaisly
-Ringer Volume isn't loud enough
-Keys on the top part get annoying
-Terrible Reception for me (thank god for roaming)
-Slow UI
-Any touching of the external touch pad results in an annoying unlock message
-Directional Keypad and surrounding keys are too close together
A few other things about this "music phone" is the fact that its music player is crap. The sprint music store is a terrible music player, and I wish sprint could bring something different, and a little classier looking. Also, the FM Transmitter is a joke, which I expected anyway as it is still a phone.
Lets just say i wish I would have bought the DLX
good phone
The design is very good and seems to have a lot of great features. The only bad thing I've heard is that the display desgin/screen needs improving (I only saw this in a video review and heard from many other review sites)
LG Muziq - Thumbs DOWN!
The Good:
The only positive thing I have to say about the phone is that is is pretty on the outside and has a beautiful screen display.
The Terrible:
I will be giving this phone BACK to the store today. It sucks after only 3 weeks of use. I'm so glad that my 30 days haven't expired yet.
First, the Sprint "On Demand" was screwed up for the first week a had the phone. I called tech support and they fixed it after it was out for 6 days.
Next almost ALL of the memory on the phone was used up from just the general stuff I transferred from my Sanyo. I have a 1 GB card, but what a lot of phone DON'T know is that when you download ringers and screensavers, it takes up the OVERALL INTERNAL MEMORY of the phone. 17,000 MB sounds like a lot, but it is NOT.
The final straw is that people were complaining that I sounded far away, even a Sprint rep that I was on the phone with complained about how she couldn't hear me.
I don't know what my replacement will be, but it will NOT be an LG phone.
I would NOT suggest ANYONE to buy this phone.
