Oh My goodness

To me, you get credit for every thing a phone can do when its unique. And the only thing this phone can do that so unique is to change its covers. The combination of at&t service do not make this phone any better. The ring and talk volume is low, their is no camera available for at&t service and phone sometimes blank out on you. How can Motorola make this phone.

Almost but not quite it....

First and foremost it is a great phone. I did find the menus easy to understand (although there are a lot of key stokes). Reception is a definite plus and the sound quality is good. For making and receiving calls and text this is a sound buy.

Now heres is the truth. Navigation of the menu is a long process. Sending text is time consuming due to menu navigation, again. The ring is not loud enough on downloaded rings. The main menu makes wallpapers useless (can't move it). And this phone does not take abuse in stride, it will fall apart in less than the previously stated 3 to 6 months.

It was decent, but not nearly as good as the Samsung...

The color screen was not as clear as the samsung A520, or the A500, but it did have decent sound quality. Using the phone after using the samsungs was painful... it just didn't cut it...

Good, but not Great.

I just recieved this phone about 2 weeks ago with Cingular. The first one I got completely broke down on me so I took it back. The second one I recieved was a little better but the faceplate was a little loose. I changed the faceplate of my phone and it was a lot sturdier. Now, about the phone. It has a lot of great features. But it is not what you would call a great phone. Here's why:

Cons:
Bad color screen
limited web browser
no superhonic ringtones
a big flip phone
no camera ( not neccesary but useful)
comes with a bad faceplate

Pros:
Big numbers
Easy text messeging
Flip phone
Web browser
Changable Faceplates
External Caller ID

Not a bad phone I just wish the quality of the phone was better, and although it has good features I wish it had more advanced features such as FM radio, and Camera capability.

A PRETTY GOOD PHONE

Aside from the basic things like color display, games, etc. I'll tell you what I didn't like:

--dropped calls.
--the buttons should be raised a bit more, so it's easier to dial.
--battery life is okay, but not the best.
--fragile design. Felt like it would snap if I dropped it.
--price
--the color on the outside rubs off easily.

Motorola hard to use

While this phone has great signal reception, and some other cool features... good battery life, flip phone with external display. I can't get over the problems with this phone.

Anyone who's owned a newer nokia, lg, or samsung, know how easy they are to use. You can access the phones features without using the manual most of the time. The manual for these phones are usually thin and easy to read. Not so for Motorola... as soon as I opened the box I found the largest phone instruction guide ever. This phone seems to be made by people that live too long inside a lab or office. They also reversed many of the button locations found on other models. The call and hang up buttons for example. I have a suggestion for Motorola GO TO A STORE BUY A COMPETETORS PHONE AND STUDY IT.

should of stayed with Nokia!!

This is dedicated to all the ignorant Motorola owners who talked me into ordering the T720...it looks cute but like they say "looks can be deceiving..." and I used to think only Nokia made disposable cell phones.

I say buy a Motorola T720 if you don't mind the frustration of sudden keypad locks, excessive trouble placing calls, and removing and replacing the battery to power off your phone!!!

I work fo a major wireless carrier...next time I'll stick to Nokia!!! Nice try Motorola.

The Worst Phone I've Ever Had!

Jan 16, 2005 by boricuamami

I've had this phone for about a year...when i first bought it in the fall of 2004, it was considered top of the line...but as soon as i took it home the problems began: i notice that when i plugged the charger into it it wouldn't fit the phone properly (but it still charged) so i shrugged it off thinking it would be too much hassle to take it back...eventually after a few months i realised this phone is soooo delicate dropping it once could totally dismantle the entire thing...it was all downhill from there...it would turn off and then turn back on in the middle of me text messaging someone...i had to sit there with the charger for like 20mins every night struggling to get it to charge...sometimes the hang up button wouldn't work so i would have to close the phone to hang up...which really isnt a problem with a flip phone unless you wanna turn it off...and finally tonight the shotty craftmanship finally gave way after 1 year of having this phone. when i dropped it for the last time on my kitchen floor and the screen flew off...making it officially trash!! one-year before my contract is up!!
i'm never buying a motorola phone again!!
