Not too shabby
I have had this phone for quite some time and I must say that I do love it. I did have a problem with the screen going out so I went to the Sprint store and they swapped it out no cost! FYI that was because I had insurance.
I like the phone and new software updates definatly fixed the lagging issues. So far everything seems to be running smoothly. I like the GPS and haven't had any problems with it. The good new is with the GPS it will give you the fastest route with traffic so it might not be the quick way you know of but hey there could be an accident the other way. All in all I like that function.
Facebook and Myspace work great on and I love the fact I can decide if I want mobile mode or the regular internet mode... whatever you want to call it. Also uploading pictures is super easy. It is pretty awesome.
Another big plus is the entertainment news. I love that. I get to see Dear Abby without having to buy the paper.
The live search function is pretty snazzy... the only problem is when I try to access it with the speech to talk button It doesn't hear go to search it hears send text to "insert name here" The only way it can hear it is if I have absolutely no background noise whatsoever. So instead I added it to my favorites page.
The camera and camcorder work super easy. I take videos and pictures of my son all the time. I will say the pictures do look better printed out than they do and screen and I don't nearly have as many fuzzy pictures as I did with my 920. All and all not a bad phone. It just depends on what features you are looking for.
i LOVE it!!!
I think this phone is great. I haven't had any problems with the phone and I have had it for a month. The voice mail is great, I don't have to listen to every one I can listen to what I want when I want. The Email is wonderful you can view it as if you were looking at the home computer. The Navigation and Live search are good too, I haven't had a problem trying to get somewhere using them. I just plain LOVE it.
umm not what i though
this phone is one of the worse phone ever i got this phone not to long after it came out
pros the only thing i liked on this phone was the gps and the search feature
cons too many to list
the things that made me return the phone
it powered off while loading most websites that where formatted for cell phones it was slow and laggy
my wife on the other hand still has her phone and she is starting to see now why i returned mine she gets all kind of errors
the main one is no sd card inserted when the card is inserted
i think that sprint got the worst end of the deal with this one it has been done over way better on other carriers make sure the phone is for you
Not Easy to Use
I got this phone 6 weeks ago and was tremendously excited. After being reminded to upgrade on the phone, it froze up completely. I took it to a sprint store where they reset all settings and I had to reload ringers and pictures. I considered it a fluke and continued to familiarize myself with it. I found as follows:
Pros:
-Keyboard options for texting
-Pictures from camera aren't bad considering no flash or zoom
-Tilting web browsing feature is nice
-Ringer set-up is easy
-Design and size is nice
Cons:
-When trying to lock phone, it turns completely off if you hold it even remotely too long. Same goes for trying to unlock it
-Phone calls people if not locked
-Text messaging is NOT easy and selecting contacts is horrendously difficult. When trying to just view numbers, it will dial the number.
- Web browsing is slow and difficult to maneuver even with tilting.
- phone freezes frequently
-not much call clarity
Frankly I had to think hard to come up with Pros for the phone. I am actually about to downgrade just to get rid of this one.
I am sure that others are completely satisfied with this phone, but I find very little about it that I like.
Hope this helps...
AWSOME
I have had this phone for about 2 months after getting rid of my HORRIBLE Nokia 6275i (WICH YOOIU SHOULDNT BUY ) but the instinct is a very good phone with FEW problems... but yes it does have SOME problems. I am a first time samsung buyer and they are making a VERY good lasting impression on me!I am on BELL by the way NOT sprint!
PROS:
*Sleek design
*GORGOUES SCREEN!!
*GREAT signal never lost a call even in concrete buildings
*hepatic feedback (the little buzzzing thing when you click something)
*responsive touch screen
*bluetooth capabilities
*good battery life can go for about 5 days without charge
*visual voicemail
*LOUD ringer
*LSEEK menu with the tabs at the bottom
*fast scroll contacts
*LIVE TV
*VERY nice texting sends SUPER fast with QWERTY keyboard
*shows INDIVIDUALLY when you have called your contacts
CONS:
*VERY bad camera (but what can you expect its a PHONE)
*NICE internet not SUPER fast but fast if you are looking for a phone with SUPER SPEEDY internet this is NOT the phone for you!
* to unlock it you click a button instead of sliding like the iphone
*ALL the games re DEMOS
This is a VERY good phone i recommend it for EVERYTHING but camera and SUPER fast INTERNET but other than those two MINOR things AWSOME PHONE!!!!
Sweet Phone in my book!!!!
I have had the Instinct for about 3 weeks and i think it is a cool phone and for what it does i think gives the Iphone a nice run for the money. Also me an my wife have the family share plan for 129.99 which includes unlimited everything and we share 1500 min. and i haven't seen a plan better than that for the money. Our service with Sprint has been great, had a few dropped calls but thats any carrier. My mom and dad have Verizon and we went to Alabama me and my wife had service in several different places that Verizon didn't "Can you here me now" and we pay 40.00 less and get alot more.
Pros:Touch screen is responsive
Navagation is good its not a Garmin or anything but its gets you were need to go
The web is good in my eyes even though is can take a while sometimes
Visual voicemail is very convenient
Ringers are loud and clear and so are are the calls
Signal strength is good even though the bars jump around alot never had a dropped call with this phone
Works good with bluetooth
Cons:The camera has no zoom i think thats kinda dumb if the m300 has zoom why not the top of the line Instinct and not only that it has no options, come on Samsung
All in all this is a pretty good phone and im sure the next one will be an Iphone killer:-)
Nice phone...
I really like the M800. It's the best phone I've owned to date. I have Sprint, but I'd imagine other carriers would be similar.
Pros: Nice layout. Easy to learn to use. Texting is much easier than with a standard non qwerty phone. Sprint navigation rocks.
Great screen and color. Lasts all day on a charge under normal to heavy use. The people that complain about battery life probably didn't charge their phones completely when they first got them, and that's important with lithium batteries. Call quality is very good, and Sprint seems to have better coverage than ATT, when i test my phone against my sons Iphone.
Cons: For some reason Sprint navigation on this phone is a bit more cumbersome to use than on my previous phones. It could be that they've upgraded the software for Sprintnav and actually made it less useful. But it still beats the heck out of using maps.
This is NOT a smart phone, and I don't expect it to do things it wasn't designed for. So as a phone with some extra goodies it does the job and then some. I highly recommend it. I've owned this phone for 2 months, for what it's worth.
I'd buy this phone again if I lost mine, or it was stolen.
Samsung Instinct
I have tested this phone and overall this phone is not bad, but it is not a stable phone.
Pros
Built quality good
headphone jack (dont see that anymore)
great phone features
good touchscreen
good volume.
Bad
Software on the phone is buggy responds slow.
camera sucks all photos come out fuzzy.
battery is not that great but they give you 2
Sprint tv could be better comparing to other phones in sprint lineup.
Browser could be better, opera is better.
keyboard for one hand sucks.
they need an application store no apps outhere.
noticed sometimes when you click it does not do anything just sits there sort of frozen.
Overall if Sprint and Samusung can get their stuff toghether this phone could be the iphone killer for now its not even close to poking it. Went back to the diamond were everything seems to work without problems.
SPRINT WAKEUP AND MAKE THIS PHONE WORK>>>>
Instinct is no i phone
At first i loved my instinct, it was sleek, fun and functional. But after the initial 30 day warranty, it began to show it's true colors. I like having the back up battery, i love the touch screen feature and look of the phone.
I don't however, like the fact that the phone 'freezes' about 4 times a day causing me to have to take the battery off and replace.
Also, phone calls do not always come through. The phone doesn't indicate that I've missed a call, but a voicemail will appear. Last week a friend died and my boyfriend was rushed to the emergency room... both calls that did not come through and i didn't find out til the next day. If people don't leave voicemails, I have no way of knowing that they have called.
I am so frustrated with this phone that I've only had for 3 months, that I called Sprint to have them replace it with a different phone altogether.
