Great Phone...Best phone I've owned
This is my first Android phone, coming from BB. I viewed and research other phones. I heavily considered the Evo, but decided I didn't want to switch carriers. Thus far, this phone rocks. I put it through heavy business use calls and date with the phone performing very well. Battery life has been great!
Pros:
Android
Processor Speed
Size of Screen
Battery Life
720p video
HDMI
Cons:
Size...was used to the smaller BB phone. But I will adapt.
I would recommend this phone to everyone. It's a great phone, the best I have had. The phone has perform well, and will look forward to it getting 2.2 android and Flash player. Which will take it up another level.
Great Overall Phone!!!
I've had this phone since day one and cannot stop from picking it up...overall great phone will not disappoint. I had a BB tour which I liked but only thing I miss now is the BBM..Size is not a problem for me the extra screen makes everything a pleasure...the typing is great and easy to get used to it and you won't miss the keyboard..browser is fast I don't even use Opera which I had on BB...you can download many apps for free that will customize the phone to your liking...more updates coming to make it even better...
PROS:
Screen size,fast phone,typing(Swype is awesome),Google Navigation,clear calls,watching videos,fast browser,memory 16GB card/8GB phone,email sync,listening music thru headphones...wifi/bt connects instantly once set up...
Cons:
I will say these are small..
Battery: you will be running low if you leave apps running like news/weather or FB as it will drain battery,,I keep sceen display low most of the time and I refresh feeds manually..if using music steaming or nav in car have a charger..
Camera: takes good pics but better outside than indoors low light...also small learning curve with camera button taking pics...8MP I thought would be a bit crisper...
Volume: If you listen to music not that loud on speaker(great on headphones-I own Klipsch headphones they rock with it nicely)
Just a tremendous phone
I was able to get this on release day, so I have had it for about three weeks now. Honestly, I really wanted the Incredible, but with the shortages, I figured it would be easier to get the X. I could not be happier with how things have turned out.
On paper, the size may seem a little cumbersome, but it fits perfectly and it is great for texting.
Pros:
Signal - It is great, I have been on Verizon for a few years and none of my phones have the reception that the X does. Calls are also crisp and clear for me and the people I am calling.
Speed - The fastest phone I have ever had, no question. And the fastest phone I have ever used, which is pretty much everything recent.
Screen - Very crisp and clear. Also very receptive when texting or navigating through functions.
Battery - It is not great, but no phone of comparable size and capability is. But it is actually better than I thought it was going to be. I am on it quite a bit texting, on the web, or streaming content through NFL Mobile. And I put it on my charger for a little while before I go to bed. I don't really have to, but it is more of a habit. Most nights, I still have a good amount of juice still on my battery when I hook it up.
Cons
It took me a while to find a con, but there is a minor one that I have encountered so far. The speakerphone volume is a little low, in my opinion. I don't use it very often, and I am not going to be holding any conference calls in a boardroom on my X any time soon, so it is not a big concern for me. I do use it in my car every once in a while, and it is clear, but just not as loud as I would like sometimes.
But overall, just an amazing phone. I was unsure of it when I bought it, but within a couple hours of starting to use it, I knew I was going to be happy with it and that this would be my phone for a while.
Just got mine Yesterday
This Phone has it all literally, I have really big hands so the whole too big complaint does not apply to me; other wise,
Pros so far: Fast connection to websites
easy access to to apps
No dropped calls
No dropped calls
Goggle Navigator (free)
thats all so far more to come
Cons so far: No FFC (front facing cam)
No Chase Bank app for it yet
IT is a Battery killer
No extended battery available
yet
To remedy drain I only use wifii when I'm at home.
As soon as you have it activated download Advanced task killer it will curb the drain on the battery as well.
Great Phone
I must admit, I was dying to get the Moto Droid X. Most of the time this is a recipe for disaster... you walk in thinking it's going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but then it just disappoints. I mean, what can really compare to your childhood dreams of technological bliss? (or is that something I just dream of..) Well the Droid X delivered. The phone is big but when it's in your hand or pocket, it seems just right. The battery is above average for any android phone. The features are great but I must admit, the Moto interface needs a bit of refinement. I'm assuming that in the upcoming updates Android and the Moto UI will improve.
Pros:
Big Screen
Sound Quality
Fast Processor
Nice Camera
Thin
Mids:
Battery life, can't complain but won't praise
Moto UI, works but can be sluggish
Cons:
No front facing camera. This may not matter but if mobile facechat starts to take off in the next year or two (how long I anticipate I'll keep this phone) then it will suck!
Droid X Best phone on the market!
Let me just start by saying this. I created an account here on phonescoop just so i can let ppl know how amazing this phone is. I have had it for 3 days and just couldn't stop playing with it.

nice
really nice phone. really love the verizon hotspots and the browser is blazing. camera could be better seiing its 8 meg
Too Cool
The best ever so glad I have one!!! The only problem is the battery runs hot only after a few minutes of use, does anyone else have this problem?
Really nice phone, but....
I think the HTC Incredible is better. Both phones are virtually the same but I have to say that the HTC Sense UI is very neat. The Droix X seems to lag a bit and when you open certain apps, it takes forever sometimes. If you're like me, you like to text and generally navigate around a phone using one hand. It is not easy to do this with the X (espcecially with the non touch-sensored buttons on the bottom).
