Motorola V300
Average Ratings
Can't get some features!
The phone has really great technical characteristics.
The colors and quality of display are great comparing to other brands phones.
A bit hard to operate from the beginning as I have never had Motorola phone.
What I can't really is why the alarm and reminder do not have sound or seems like not working at all at the time has been installed, the next thing is I couldn't find the delivery report feature.
The rest of the features work fine.
May be if somebody of this phone current users can help me with solutions it would be great for sure!
Have fun!
Covers just about everything...
I've had this phone for about a week and it's been great. I've read a lot of reviews before buying this phone and there are some of the things that I want to clarify for future buyers.
Speakerphone - Although it won't allow the user to connect until the call is connected, it is still located in an area fairly accessible without the need to tell the other person to hold on. Just push the buttom.
Faceplate - Though it may seem that this blue cover is permenate, it is not. If you don't believe me, check ebay, they do sell v300 faceplates.
Battery Life - Exceptional. Doesn't drain it as much as most other color/camera phones. (ie. the bulky Sanyo Camera Flip Phone)
Camera - Great for outdoor usage. Blurs up a bit when it's in a room with very dim lighting.
Display - The outside, super cool. The inside, interesting looking (the buttons), but works like its suppose to.
Functionality - Hey, for basic users, this is perfect. For people with a taste for more, it's still up there. Easy to use, and allows the user to set the menus according to personal perference. Some say its overkill because this phone comes with three different buttons for camera, but the truth is, it's resettable.
Features - Games are great, doesn't freeze, runs very smoothly. Alarms is awesome, set as many as you like and choose which on you need. Voicenotes works like charm, very clear.
The only downfall...you can't find the time anywhere on the phone during a call...
Other than that. Highly recommend this phone.
Simply Put, The Best!
Get this phone! You will not regret it. Samsung's E 715 is no match for the motorola v300. Great Battery life!! Software problems are unfounded!! Don't know why people say there are problems, heck! the people that post bad rating are probably Samsung enthusiasts that are jealous that motorola finally made a better cell phone that samsung!
my 2 cents worth.
A rare gem of a phone
We have 3 of these phones in our family and are amazed at the similarity and reliability. All work great no matter where we travel in the US. Easy to use after some interpolation of the only fair users manual.
Would give them all a 5 were in not for the fact that one of the phones has a beautiful camera with super color and the other two have a slight tinge towards pink. If I had only one I would not known about the color.
We had to buy a store dummy model for our grandson as even he could not get along without it.
Awesome phone!
I work for T-Mobile, and this is one of the best phones out there! It has a great picture quality, nice speakerphone, and very impressive mp3 ringtones. The phone gets great reception. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone interested! One thing I would like to mention, even though this is a great phone, there are some badly defective ones out there, If you have one of those, just call up T-Mobile and they will get you a new one.
Also, contrary to popular belief, you CAN change the face plate on this phone. You just need a special tool that will only cost you a few dollars.
Pro's
Great Camera
Speakerphone
Mp3's
a lot of memory
good battery life (as long as you don't use the camera too much)
Excellent reception
Con's
A little bit heavy
camera could use a flash
Excellent Phone of the 12 I´ve tested.
I work for www.tigo.com.sv and from the 12 differents handset I've tested Motorola has the best ones and this is the coolest one.
Even without the video playback like the v600 I choose the V300.
what can i say?
this phone is really not worth the money and not worth to get it either because the first day when i got my phone my internet didn't work! also i thought the menu was confusing and buttons are really hard to press! horrible phone!!!
Good choice if your not going for Blue tooth.
I must say, it is a very good phone, on par with most other phones for reception, where I work gets me 2 bars like anybody else's phone, camera quality beating a Sony. I only gave it a 4.0 because 2 people have complained about it since howning it, the text messaging reboots the phone, and the other complained of reception failure. Personally I have no complaints because I had a Motorola C333. I went from VERY BAD, only usefulness as a paper weight, phone to a better phone. Nice screen size, better then most phones I have seen. Game lag is VERY minimal, sometimes not even there (of course all I have right now is stunt driver). Ringtones nice and Forget downloading wallpapers, my camera got an AWSOME snapshot of my desktop wallpaper. I just wish you could delete the useless ringertones and graphics you don't want.
Could be better..
I owned this phone for about 2 months at the most..and it was a OK phone..not the best.. I've had better.
Pros:
Camera
Speaker
MP3 ringtones
Great Screen Resolution
Key pad layout
long talk time
Animated GIF's
Cons :
the software is sooooooooooooooooooo pathetic. i can turn on and turn off my other phones and this phone is still taking its sweet time to respond to my commands.
no external picture caller id
speaker can be louder
no flash
So far.. this phone is ok like i said. this is the last time im gonna be using motorola phones. good bye motorola. i'll stick to my sanyo!!
