Once a leader, but now....
When the Treo 180 came out, I was quick to buy. I used the Treo 300 for 18 months on Sprint and was very pleased. (In recent years I have gravitated to other products and services) Upon release of Treo 700p on Sprint - I took the plunge. My thoughts: Solid phone great user interface for phone and PDA functions. However, within first 5 days I had to do 4 "soft resets" on the phone. I found this surprising for an established PDA OS like Palm. Other drawbacks were less battery life than expected and overall weight of the unit was a tad more than expected. Not something I was prepared to carry about on weekends.

Sprint's EVDO data network (it really is fast)
Cons:
Too many soft resets
A bit heavy
No Wifi
some buttons made a creaky sound

Palmone Treo 700p for Verizon Wireless
The Treo 700p adds on to the Treo 650, with the most notable features being, the Added EV-DO Service. and the 1.3 MegaPixel Camera. If u ever used a Treo 650, the first thing you will notice, is that they moved the call send and end buttons, which might make u accidently screw up a few calls your on. Now they still havent fixed all the bugs out of the palm OS, and you will still finding yourself, taking off the back cover, and hitting the reset button, or taking out the battery. If your chat log is long enough the phone might slow down or Freeze up.
Pros

~Still The Palm OS Operating system and not the ever so annoying windows OS.
~If you use a MAC, Treo 700P is Way better for you, becuase palm actually devided to make a sync service for you.
~Good battery life compared to the LG V.
~HotSync Restores DATA if the phone needs to do a HARD RESET.
Cons
~Phone will freeze up and you will have to restart the device, hopefully you wont loose to much data.
~Verizon said it may just be my device, but the data service will disconnect after 15 seconds of loading the page, it causes problems with log-in's running JAVA Scrips.
~EV-DO and 1X data will drain the battery about as fast as making a phone call.
~High Price for the phone, Same Price as the Treo 700w so if u prefer windows mobile, you may choose that device.
~No Outlook (Versamail is almost as useful)
~Pocket office is not on the phone but an application called (DataViz Documents to GO, comes with the 700p, but it is the basic version, if you want spell check and a few other features you will have to spring a few extra bucks for)
If you use and love a Treo 650, and you are comming up for an upgrade, you might want to consiter upgrading to a treo 700P, i used a 650 and i love the 700P. I only took a point off the rating, becuase its not flawless and the data problem is a annoyance. But the EV data is unbelievably faster, but you might want to check to makes sure you are in a 3G coverage area.
Good Phone For The Average User (Like Me)
I had the Sprint A900 for about 6 mths, but was desperate to switch because of the lack of available or expandable memory. I took the plunge and decided to plop down the major $$$ and go for the Treo 700p. I've had the phone now for nearly two weeks and overall I am satisfied. It wasn't until after I got the phone that I realized there is no voice activation from the headset (major bummer)!!! I have also been having the problems mentioned by another reviewer with my Bluetooth disconnecting at will. I had the scala 500 and the Samsung WEP... I have thrown them both across the room in a moment of uncontrolled frustration (but I digress...) I must admit, I was having the same problems with my A900, so maybe its something with those particular type of headsets. Alright, I have a few more gripes that you "average joes" like me should be aware of: the Pocket Tunes music player does not function well with WMA files, thus, you'll have to upgrade to version 3.1.5 at the Pocket Tunes website where you'll ultimately have to buy the Deluxe version for $24.95 if you want to use the software past 15 days; it doesn't come with hardly any games; I haven't had the chance to play with the docs 2 go software, but understand it works well; the $650 price has made me a little overprotective, despite having bought a protective cover; and it freezes up quite often (w/ no 3rd pty software installed... go figure). Now for the GOOD STUFF: internet is lightning fast; takes great pics and ok video; portal interface w/ MSN, Yahoo, and GMail works great; did I mention how fast the internet service is??? Alright, I hope you will find this review helpful. Bottom line is if you're on the fence, GO FOR IT! Its a great phone and I don't care about WI-FI????

AllS I HAVE TO SAY IS WOW!! THAT SAYS ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PHONE, HAVE HAD IT ABOUT 2 WEEKS WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!!
