Great Little Phone
This phone is great! it does exactly what I wanted it to do, which is function as a phone, to make and receive calls. Plus, it's quite a conversation starter b/c of the size and very attractive design. I don't want a camera, video camera, MP3 player, video player, or anything else in my phone. I just wanted a small, functional phone. My previous was a Motorola V180 and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that people hear me much more clearly on this phone than on the 180. The ringer and alarms are much louder as well, which is great for a natural late sleeper like me. Menu/User Interface is great and very intuitive. I am a big guy (6'1", 230lbs) with big hands and I have no problems at all using the buttons to dial and I actually text message faster with this one than I did with the 180.
The only thing I have a concern about is the battery life, but that may be my own fault. I didn't fully charge the battery before using it the first time since I was so excited about using it when the package arrived. I'll see if I can condition this one or order a new one and report back on real battery life. This one is giving me less than 3 hrs talk time currently, but I also do a lot of text messaging.
All in all, I am more than very satisfied with the G51U and highly recommend it to anyone.
