Well built phone.

Love the feel of this phone, not too big not too small. Not too heavy or bulky. Front facing speakers are good to have. The camera is surprisingly detailed. The availability of a micro sd card is handy on long trips when you only have 32 GB on the phone. Water (Beer) resistant is a nice feature to have after the phone decided to want to join in on the fun.

The battery tends to drain faster and faster as apps get further updated. The older mirco USB chargers cant keep up with the batteries demand for power. the quick charger is there to combat that. Don't lose it.

It was a big upgrade from my GS3, and I don't think I'll be going back to Galaxy anytime soon.

Disappointed with the M9

I loved my past three HTC phones, but the M9 has me looking elsewhere now. My main issue is battery life. Just in writing these words, it has stopped 3%. By the time I'm done with this review, it will have dropped probably 10%. I'm not slow on the keyboard, and I haven't had it for long, either. It's been like this from the beginning, and this is a particularly good day. It likes to randomly heat up and drain the battery completely in a matter of about thirty minutes. This means I have to constantly be near the charger, but what good is that? Don't use this phone to fly drones. It will drain itself and your drone remote far too quickly must to keep the screen on.

I do like the look and feel of the phone, and the speakers are wonderful, although nowhere near as loud as my wife's LG G4. The screen is great, too.

Pros:
Good looks
Stereo speakers on the front
Rapid charger
Flashlight is awesome
Expandable memory
Decently fast processor (not enough anymore)
Great screen
It's perfect for watching movies
Bokeh feature on camera is pretty cool

Cons:
Battery life
Phone randomly heats up and drains the battery
Camera isn't all that great
Battery life
Speakers are rather quiet
GSM radio is weak
Battery life
Predictive text is really weird
Gets very slow when browsing the internet
Battery life

My battery has drained 13% since I started typing. It's been 4 minutes.

Decent phone, two annoying quarks

The M9 is a pretty good phone from what I've experienced over my year of ownership. Its a great looking and feeling phone. Nice aluminum body looks great (right before you stuff it in a case to prevent damage to your expensive phone). All and all its a respectable alternative to the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6s.

Pros:
+Front speakers give good sound (for a phone) for watching videos or playing music.

+HTC Sense is a pretty cool feature on the phone. Its a live news feed you can scroll through and adjust.

+Has an IR blaster so you can you Peel on it to change your TV stations and possibly other devices.

+Seems to get updates pretty regularly. Probably due to the fact HTC worked with Google for a few phones. I believe I got the Marshmallow update a week or two after getting the phone and a security update just recently.

Cons:
-The well known camera issue. There are sites out there to help with ways to adjust the camera to take better quality pictures....and it takes good pictures....just not as good as the iPhone and Galaxy phones do right out the box with no tinkering.

-Bluetooth range seems to be low. Other phones I could leave it in my bed room and walk around the house and even outside the house.....this phone, with the same headset, i'll get static as soon as I leave the room.

All and all it has the rest of the features you would expect on a flagship Android phone to have. Alittle HTC bloatware, some redundant apps (video player, music player) and an overall very good phone.

Best Phone ever HTC ONE

Dec 16, 2015 by beltrejoan   updated Dec 16, 2015

First of all I was another phones user and other operating system user. for the last 4 years I've been using using HTC and HTC sense. I can say is the best and most complete phone. All systems in one, also has the most elegant design an excellent building material. Wouldnt go back to Any OS or phone while HTC is making phones and their Android OS version.

Systems Engineer.
