Firefox for Android Graduates from Beta, Available to All

Mozilla today announced that its Firefox mobile browser has moved out of beta and is available to all Android smartphones. Mozilla claims that the new version of Firefox is significantly faster than its predecessor and the stock Android browser at rendering pages, panning around web sites, and pinch-to-zoom actions. Mozilla redesigned the Start Screen to make it easier for users to get to the web sites and/or content they are interested in. The new Awesome Screen syncs users' browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, and form data from their desktop to their Android phone. Mozilla made tweaks to features like tabbed browsing, Firefox Sync and Firefox Add-ons. The browser supports do-not-track, master password, and other security features. Last, Mozilla improved Firefox's performance in core web technologies, such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and other Web standards. The full version of Firefox is available for download from the Google Play Store.
