Facebook today launched a "save for later" feature across its service, including mobile apps. The feature lets users flag an item in their News Feed, adding it to a list to read later. In the Facebook mobile app, users can now press and hold on a post to bring up the "save" button. Users must then add a "Saved" section to their "Favorites" to view saved items.

Will Facebook become what "Myspace" is now?

I feel as if after Facebook went public it's been basically the downfall of the company. Grant it's a huge company and Zuck is making a ton of money. Myspace use to be cool then it lost its touch, Facebook overtime will do the same thing, losing the feel an easy going interface with a ton of rediculous add-ons. This idead for "Save for Later" is a cool concept, but how many more adds will appear on the Book to keep maintaing these "cool" tweaks that will just unattract users and they'll leave maybe for something like Google+ considering the last quarter of sales 54% were Android based phones.

"Including Mobile Apps"

So does that mean it's available via desktop? Because I haven't seen it yet. I also find it quite comical that Facebook implements a completely new feature to their mobile app, when I personally know myself and other friends have been wanting that editing feature ever since it went live. Still a great idea as I know I've been opening up extra tabs just to look at them later when I log back in.

How does it work?

I have no problem saving things, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to view saved items. Even though I've saved a few things, I don't have a "Saved" item in my Favorites (nor anywhere) and I can't figure out how to add it. Has anyone figured it out?
Don't even see the option to save posts yet. Just came here to say, everyone likes George Takei 🤣
I don't know how this works, nor do I care, because I don't think this change on FB is NEWSWORTHY.
