Microsoft and Nokia Collaborate On Mobile Music

At 3GSM Nokia unveiled the Loudeye mobile music service, an online music store that carriers can brand to offer downloads to users of fast data handsets. Loudeye will offer music in AAC format using OMA DRM, however the mobile application will play additional formats. Microsoft's will help Nokia implement Windows Media 10 DRM and Media Transfer Protocol for the handsets, as well as add plug ins for AAC playback and OMA DRM to Windows Media Player on the desktop.
