Carbon Twitter App Released for Android Phones
Feb 3, 2013, 4:52 PM by Eric M. Zeman
A new Twitter application, called Carbon, reached the Google Play Store today. The application was expected to debut last year, but ran into some logistical roadblocks. The application itself uses the Holo theme for Android devices and promises to cut down on the clutter of the official Android Twitter application. It includes power scrolling with two-finger gestures and home screen links for timelines, searches, or trends. Carbon also includes images in-line with text, threaded Direct Messages, username autocomplete, and support for quick actions on Jelly Bean devices. Carbon is a free download from the Google Play Store for devices running Android 4.0 and up.
