BlackBerry today made available to the BlackBerry Z10 a new system update that resolves performance issues across a number of apps and services. First, the new system software improves the performance of third party apps and helps them run smoother. The email, calendar, and contacts apps have been updated with fixes for Gmail calendars and general improvements to how the apps behave within BlackBerry Hub. Once the system update is installed, the camera should perform better in low light, and the browser should exhibit smoother video playback. Last, the software update promises to improve battery life with more than 60 individual tweaks to the BlackBerry 10 software. The system update, version number 10.0.10.85, measures 150MB and BlackBerry recommends that users install it via Wi-Fi.
